WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). Listen he does not give a damn, there's a dino in front of him. What does one do about this? Is there anything else around the thrashing dinosaur that sticks out]

[Al had been posting up to, I dunno, restrain it somehow, but if it's not an immediate threat he'll just make sure he's positioned between it and the other two

then, in a bright, clear singing voice:]

[not a public singer, he covers his mouth for a moment, but then quickly goes back to ready pose

does the dino have anything in it's mouth? or any blood on it from injuries or, well, otherwise?]

[ alex has immediately gone quite pale, and starts scanning the area. ]

[ she's looking for any sign of a life other than the dinosaur, anything else that stands out - objects, blood, something like a body, she'll take anything right now. ]

there's a tiny version of a raptor running around screeching somewhere behind it. i guess. you're getting this. ]

Anyway if it has mouth reach I guess they need to uh, not get chomped? I deadass don't now what they're supposed to do besides retreat if it's thrashing about, though Chiron will see that raptor and make a startled noise.

He wants to catch the baby so excuse him as he risks life and limb for a very dumb reason.]

[seeing Chiron rush forward to risk all six of his limbs, Alphonse is of course going to dash after and see if he can draw its attention]

I can probably hold it while you get by! But are we just trying to calm it down or stop it?

[ The dinosaur does not seem to be paying much attention to Chiron or the baby raptor, at least? Though the glint on Al's armor is very distracting and it trashes a little

Chiron runs after and successfully corners the baby raptor, because if anything happened to the babies i'd be sad. Also to make up for alcoholic baby.

Alex will see that there's disturbed dirt near a tree while she runs away, like something was buried there...? ]

We cannot do much to it in this state! I will grab the other and then we will retreat a safe distance--

[Yelling instructions over his shoulder, desperately trying not to be distracted here. You know how he is when there's anything small enough for him to carry.

Under normal circumstances he'd try to soothe the poor thing but there is a WATER DINO in the FOREST so despite knowing it's a terrible idea, he will still attempt to pick it up, making soft little sing song noises]

[Chiron singing lullabies while Alphonse potentially gets eaten. We're doing great.]

[he sees the dino focusing on him and takes a defensive stance, feet planted and arms out, never having imagined he'd be trying to judo throw something this big again in his life]

[when the mosasaurus strikes out with its mouthreach, he nimbly sidesteps, pushing the head down with one quick motion and wrapping his arms firmly around the neck

he seems to actually be holding it down and in place for now?? not sure how long that'll last though]

[ well. alex can't help here. she's a twig. ]

Alphonse! 🎵 Be careful!! 🎵

[ at least she sounds lovely. but that disturbed earth? she's on it. she'll dig with her hands and her cat is also here helping. in fact, because they can shift and she's that afraid of what she's going to find, it's gonna shift into a bigger cat, more like a panther, to help her dig that disturbed earth. ]

[ Chiron successfully soothes and captures the baby raptor, which just kind of decides Chiron is now its new horse daddy. Alex, meanwhile, digs up some bloody rags and towels from underneath the tree...! That's normal.

Al successfully subdues the mosasaurus-- just kidding, it throws him up in the air and swallows him whole. Oops. ]

[Chiron has now acquired a new child.

Chiron will kill for his baby raptor.

-- Also out of the corner of his eye, Al just gets vored on his watch and horse dad freezes in horror for a second, well shit.]

Alphonse!

[Nevermind, he has to put his new baby down so he can go rush at the big dino in the hopes that body-slamming into it will encourage it to throw Alphonse back up, I'm crying.]

[ alex has obtained bloody rags and towels! amazing! can she see anything notable about them through all that blood? is there anything else in the immediately area or the dirt pile that she needs to pay attention to, seeing as the panther will keep digging.

[ oh shit. how do you get a soft metal boy out of a dino's stomach, siri??? ]

[ There's nothing notable about them, except that some of those rags look like they were made by deliberately ripping up cloth. The panther won't find anything inside the ground, but since Alex is looking around, she'll see something not in the immediate area but a little off. It looks like a bow...?

The mosasaurus does not seem bothered by Chiron attacking it. The baby raptor cries for its new parent about to become horse meat.

Al is inside the dino. ]

[Me, screaming about the bow and if Chiron made it while Chiron--

Considers if he should just go inside the dino himself and drag Alphonse out.

I'm begging the mods not to make me do this so here's a wasted tag while Chiron's new dino baby cries]

[as Chiron pounds away at the dino and considers joining Al inside it, there's a muffled sound like electrical discharge and two blue steel blades flash out from its stomach, slashing and cutting as Alphonse fights his way out from inside

eventually, he tumbles out onto the ground, just absolutely covered in dino bits and looking around in a slight daze]

I didn't like that.

[the mososaurus is dead

while we're here, did anything tumble out of the dino stomach with him? any gloves or journals or body parts?]

[ well that's her bow now. out of interest, mods, WOULD chiron recognise it? one last look around for anything that might be suspicious and then she's just gonna

[ There's a bunch of other items but woops she ran at Al so I guess she'll just see the broken arrows from a distance... Also yeah Chiron would recognize the bow.

The raptor runs for its mommy when it realizes the mososaurus is super dead.

Al comes out of the stomach triumphant! He is followed by a body with red hair being spewed out of an emptying stomach. Hm. Was Yona taking a nap in there? That's a terrible place to nap.

Also the mosasaurus goes tiny because it's technically been more than an hour since it was embiggened but I needed Al to get out of it first. ]

[Hahaha and here Chiron was about to breathe a sigh of relief because Alphonse is fine and the dino is dead but then he sees that red hair and

fuckin loses it]

[Hey Dino which mommy are you running for because one might be dead and the other is now a really angry centaur but anyway. He's going to immediately turn the body over and just. check a pulse?


HEY BRITT TURN ON YOUR FUCKIN LOCATION]

[Alphonse stands up shakily, sadly wiping viscera off him, then sings in a similarly shaky way]

🎵 is she breathing, Chiron...?

[he's also going to open his chest plate and bring out a very rattled sphinx cat and set it on the ground for some fresh air

turning to Alex]

Did...did you find anything here?

Um. Towels, and cloth? They're bloody. [ she'll remember seeing the arrows in the distance later. ]

🎵 Yona... Chiron, is she---?

[ Yona is dead. Britt is a monster.

Baby Raptor is simply whining at both its Yona mom and its horse mom now. It chitters sadly, like a little reptilian bird. ]
