WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [It is week five and you all have failed to fulfill my greatest wish. Again.

So I guess a horse is alive! And in the woods. He'll glance at both of his companions with a faint smile before looking around his surroundings to see if anything is immediately amiss. His baby deer remains by his side, peering out between his legs.]

[ well, lup is unfortunately alive, though only just barely. she's very pale but she's determined to not be totally useless.

unfortunately she is definitely going to make zuko carry her. it's fine, she doesn't weigh very much. anyway, she gestures at the... outside. do they see anything weird? ]

[well. it's week five and he's alive, so he's walking alongside xie lian as they approach the inn. his movements are still a little slower, but he opens the door to see if there's anything immediately out of place in the lobby at a first glance.]

Do you think everybody listened to the rules last night?

[ zuko is still mcfucking injured from his wednesday stint and covered in bandages but he is absolutely stubborn enough to piggyback lup. it's fine. he's fine. ]

[ xie lian's taking it at sora's pace as they head inside of the plaza inn. ]

I don't know - I hope so. By now, I would hope that we've all learned to sleep in groups, at least...

[ but considering that this is an investigation spot we both know that probably didnt happen.

sora covered the first glance! what's the first sweep glance at the kitchen? ]

[Alphonse is here, he's alive, and full of cats (no he left them behind before doing anything dangerous actually he's not irresponsible)]

Yeah, these woods seem a little more dangerous than the ones across the bridge. Miss Alex, you should maybe stay between us, and tell us if you see anything.

[he's definitely starting by checking the ground as cobblestone gives way to grass and dirt, looking for signs of tracks leading off into any specific direction of the woods]

[I’m wheezing because Taako isn’t recently as injured so he has no excuse, but he’s still watching Zuko cart his sister around. Look, he probably dragged her here in the first place. It’s fine. This is fine?]

Personally I think we should go sleep in, but no! There’s crime to be solved, right? Lup, look at the ceiling. You’re on ceiling duty.

[ Nothing seems out of place in the lobby at a glance! There's the front desk, some couches, and the shrine, etc., all where they normally should be.

The kitchen seems mostly orderly... but it looks like there's something near Xie Lian's favourite spot, the trash can. ]

[ alex's cat wanders tentatively over to where chiron's deer is and situates himself under it, peering out between her front legs almost nervously.

alex herself is a little way behind them, but nods. ]

Okay... I'll do my best.

[ she's looking up, to see if there's anything in the trees or something suspicious above normal eye level, first of all. ]

[ You are in fact outside.

If Lup ignores Taako's order and looks down, however, she will see blood in front of the castle (not necessarily the entrance, just in front of [some unspecified area of the castle]. ]

[ well they're not going to see anything much in the woods even if they try to look for tracks or anything because it is currently being trashed by a fuckin mosasaurus out of water.

so like. yeah. ]

[...you know. he will let xie lian return to his rightful place while he's going to go examine behind the front desk and make sure everything's in order just in case before he'll drift toward the stairs. nothing on the stairs or near the elevator either?]

We can sleep after. [ she hums. her weasel just limps along behind them. please someone pick up this poor weasel.

also she flinches because taako can never remember to not call her by her name and i'm punishing alli for forgetting

she looks up at the sky just in case an airplane is spelling out the killer's name, and then gestures to the ground. ] Oh, cool. Blood. Haven't seen any of that this week.

WHAT'S IN THE GARBAGE.

technically, what's near it, but also, what's in it. he'll climb in there if he's gotta don't test me UPDATE apparently he's wearing a pretty dress. wow. just another day in the life. he will still climb in the garbage if necessary though. ]

[ zuko's turtleduck is going to valiantly try to piggyback the weasel. this is adorable. unlike zuko himself. ]

I guess we're not going to have to go too far this time.

[ Nothing weird about the front desk! Or about the stairs or the elevator.

Inside the garbage is a burnt and bloody shawl and gloves, covered in ashes. And whatever other garbage people have been throwing in there all week, probably.

Hope Xie Lian isn't too determined in his trash quest, though, because by the trash bin is...... an ankylossaurus with its head chopped off. ]

[So he says, immediately -- actually scratch that, he suddenly belts it out like he's in the middle of a musical, and then just. Frowns.

Listen he does not give a damn, there's a dino in front of him. What does one do about this? Is there anything else around the thrashing dinosaur that sticks out]

What the fuck. Anyway.

[Is there any sort of trail leading anywhere? Anything else on the ground? More bloody gloves? Some shoes? Feet prints?]

[ I will be nice and say that as Lup looks up at the sky, in the corner of her eyes she may have seen... things on the castle?

It's just a giant blood splatter! No trails or any other objects visible around it, although there is an imprint in the ground smack dab in the middle of the blood, and said imprint may or may not be body-shaped. ]
