WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [Is this. A good idea. Also, I guess I’m cheating a little, but I see Maze in the title of the thread and before we get distracted with this. Can he see anything if he goes over to the entrance of it. I’m a little confused about where we are, I know we’re outside the Pink Castle but there’s gardens and stuff too, right?]

[ There are gardens and stuff too, but off Taako wanders to the only other relevant investigation location, aka the maze.

At the entrance, he'll see signs that look like someone or something ran inside. In another game, these would probably be footprints, but they're not, so it's [generic disrupted ground] instead. ]

Hey, Swan. [ ... she swoons and falls off zuko's back for reals this time.

from the ground: ] Ow. Do you see the, uh - the thing up there? Can you get it? Or do we have to try to climb up there, please say no, I have two hit points.

[ they'll grab zuko who is holding lup and. go straight up there. wherever it is im not reading anything. woosh. ]

[ Up on a tower, Zuko (along with Swan and Lup) finds an arrow embedded into the wall. There's also a torn piece of cloth.

As Taako follows the Not Prints, he might note that along the way the hedge in one place seems a little disturbed. At the end of the Not Prints path, though, there's a bunch of slashes in the ground. ]

no she pulls herself up to her feet and goes to follow after taako because she gets nervous if he's out of her sight for too long. ]

[Catching her! Zuko how could you. You definitely weren't surprise teleported or anything! He'll try and haul her up into a piggyback but he's not as Strong. it's fine.]

Um. Just some shit on the ground I guess.

[Hauling her over to look at the slashes! Do they look like blades or . . . . . . DINOSAUR CLAWS?]

[ Zuko will see nothing else up on that particular tower.

They look more like blades. ]

[ she lets him piggyback her, squinting at the blade marks. she looks around, too - is there anything on the walls.

also check the other towers. zuko check the ketchup splattered tower - or lup will, she'll make taako drag her out there. ]

[ zuko can check out the ketchup splattered tower then!! ]

[If Zuko's got that ketchup job then Taako will wobble off a little further in the maze once they check out the walls and the marks. Anything further in?

If not, he'll turn back around to go observe Ketchup Tower too.]

[ Taako finds nothing that wasn't mentioned in a previous tag. However, since both he and Lup are on the ground, they can't investigate the castle walls unless they get Swan to ditch Zuko and retrieve them.

Assuming Zuko isn't climbing down but getting Swan to cheat for him: they're on a bloody part! Which is to say, it's a blood splatter. Or multiple blood splatters, you can probably assume the other red areas look similar. Not much else to say about them. ]

... Huh. Which other NPC teleports again? Is it Goat? [ she wants to look at the blood splatters... ]

[ also zuko's just going for a teleport ride.... how big is the splatter, though? can zuko tell the angle or anything about it? ]

Goat! Hey Goat! Teleport us up there! I wanna look at the ketchup!

[KETCHUP. Is there a tower that has ketchup that Zuko isn't on?]

[ Goat appears and takes them up there. Presumably there was some interaction in here but y'all have 11 (well 9 as of posting this tag) minutes left, so. Anyway, sure hope none of the other investigation groups needed Goat or Swan for anything, because they're now both occupied.

The blood splatter seems like it's maybe consistent with someone impacting from above at non-fatal heights, and possibly smeared like they then continued falling off. Maybe.

There are various other bloody spots below Zuko's, so Goat will take them to one of those. They're also consistent with the above. ]

Zuko is too high up to see this, but again I'll let Lup have this, even though no one climbed the castle, smh: she doesn't see a corpse, but she'll see what looks like arrow marks on a tower, probably either below her or between where she and Zuko are. You can assume Goat took here there if requested, though there are no other details to give about said marks even if you were not out of time.

Anyway, presumably Goat and Swan brought everyone down after. ]
