WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). Hm, scuffs - do they lead anywhere, look like they were left by anything in particular? Hua Cheng will check the ones on the floor, since Soo-won looked staircase-ways. ]

[sure! time to check by the staircase. is it possible to determine what might've caused them? do they look like dark scuff marks caused by dirt or by friction or lye?]

Do you know if anyone was here last night...?

[ The scuffs on the ground seem to be the mark of a fight. Hua Cheng will recognize them because he's not a bitch ass pacifist. The marks on the staircase seem to have been made by a weapon, meanwhile. While he's exploring the staircase, Soo-Won will also notice something purple on it... ]

I don't know for sure who took curfew here. [ Because no, he is not a bitch ass pacifist. I'm not going to ask spatial questions of the mods because I don't know how space works either, so we're just going to ask if it covers a large area and if anything is disturbed from the tussle. ] Whoever was, they certainly either missed a fight... or were in one.

[he supposes he can't be surprised, considering that it was a thursday. but soo-won will go to look at the purple item on the staircase? what is it?]

There's something here... Something may have also happened in the surrounding rooms - and perhaps upstairs?

[ There's not like, furniture in the foyer or anything, so there's no disturbance, it's just scuff marks on the ground like a fight that took place here and went up the stairs.

Meanwhile, Soo-Won will find that the purple thing is... a scrap of fabric. Hmmm. Mystewious. ]

[ Cool beans we are moving onwards, then, and going to join Soo-won by the stairs. Hua Cheng's brow furrows as he looks over his shoulder at - the scrap? Truly mystewious. ]

Perhaps upstairs. [ agreement ] Let's head up and follow the trail.

[hmmmmm. soo-won will collect the scrap then, tilting his head. i want to investigate it but mods will tell me that's what tomorrow is for.

before they head up though! he will glance over to the left toward the sitting room! and maybe to the right as well, idk, is there anything else left on this floor to look at]

I think I saw Hansa and Ange head that way - so we can do another sweep afterward, but maybe there's something else here...?

[ It's a ripped scrap of cloth that looks like it comes from clothing, I'm not THAT mean, Dana.

Well, the sitting room is part of this thread, so they can go look at it, sure. There's nothing else in the foyer. The first thing they'll notice in the foyer is a humanoid shape covered in blankets on one of the fainting couches. Who is sleeping in at this time. And who put a bouquet of lilies over them? This is just rude. ]

Down in the sitting room, maybe. We can meet up with Hansa and Ange to see what they found out after we do a quick check.

[ And what a quick check this is, once they get into the sitting room. Hua Cheng - pauses, for a moment, before he makes his way across the room. He's watching his step so he doesn't walk on any evidence, but he does come over to remove the flowers. (He grabs the bottom hem of the dress so that he doesn't touch them directly, in case there's anything special they're wrapped in or whatever.)

... and he's going to be taking that blanket piile off of whoever this is while we all turn our knives on Britt and Siz so far. ]

[ It's a body party! Anyway, speaking of bodies.

Fiora isn't looking too hot on that fainting couch. Her drone weapon things are with her under the blanket. The lillies are white and yellow and tied with a bit of purple cloth. Looking around besides that, Soo-Won will see on a different couch a smaller bundle wrapped up and tucked in a blanket. ]

[ Agitation edges into Hua Cheng's expression, as he sets aside the blankets and reaches for Fiora. He knows that she's not necessarily human, so there's no pulse to look for, really, but he does reach to turn her face towards him carefully. If she's not pulling an Alyssa, we know body check will have to confirm any injuries, but.

Anything that's going to indicate that she was mcfucking murdered at a glance here? ]

[there's no really hiding the sadness in soo-won's gaze but - well, he thinks that hua cheng has this in order. he'll go to examine the other bundle.]

[time to go see what else is wrapped in a smaller blanket! a body, but for ants?]

[ Fiora is dead. Also she has a pulse normally she still has SOME organs. Except now she has none pulse. Because she's dead. Also, because I fucked that up, her drones are on her back as usual and underneath the blanket with her are her daggers which are weapons and I didn't just make those out to be the same thing.

Under the other blanket is... a toaster!

Hua Cheng straightens up when it's clear that Fiora's dead, casting a look around the room itself to see if there's anything else amiss. So that they don't miss anything else, considering they've missed quite a few things in the past. ]

What is it, Won?

Erm.... a toaster?

[he's been in the kitchen enough to like. recognize it? but is there anything off about the toaster? dented? bloody? what about the blanket that it was wrapped in, does that look... normal....

[ There's nothing else immediately obvious in the sitting room for Hua Cheng to see. The blanket is a little wet and damp, though the toaster itself seems pretty dry. The toaster is not bloody or dented. ]

[ He actually turns at that, looking a little bemused at the fact there's just. A toaster. In the sitting room. He also has been in the kitchen enough to recognize it, but that's not really much of an explanation at the moment.

Still, he'll check the swooning couch Fiora is on, the blankets, just to see if there's anything in them. ]

inspect the blanket itself? does it smell like anything? though also now that we're here it's time to check out both the floor and ceiling of the sitting room]

[ There doesn't seem to be anything else on the couch or in the blankets that were covering Fiora!

The toaster is fine. The blanket smells like......... a damp blanket. The floor and ceiling have nothing, but imagine if I gave you ANOTHER dinosaur hanging up there. It'd be terrible. ]

[ Frankly I don't trust any of the mods to not spring something like that on us. Or the murderers.

Anything under the couch that Fiora is on? No stone unturned, etc etc, we have some time left to investigate things. ]

[well i guess it's. time to collect evidence? soo-won will put the toaster back with the blanket before going to inspect the bouquet of lilies?

is there anything off about them? blood? odd cuts? a tiny fortune cookie slip that says britt is a monster tucked into the petals?]

[ The bouquet of lilies is pristine! It was made with love and care. The flowers do spell out britt is a monster in petal speak, but that's unrelated to why they're here. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them at all.

There's ... dust bunnies under the couch. Clean yo castle, damn. ]

Could very well have been to leave a message, if one takes their meanings into consideration. [ Is there a message in the pieces of the games of the sitting room. Are we done looking in here. ] A white lily is often a flower of luck and love, purity, but have been used to offer sympathy. Yellow can mean devotion and friendship.
