WEEK SIX: MINGLE
WEEK SIX: MINGLE (25 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Elsa, Yona, Shigeo, and Fiora's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Also, anyone who had been poisoned during trial will still be feeling sick! Haha! Finally, participants will find that they are now sporting a new injury. This injury is one that they received in their past, whether they remember it or not. No matter how fatal the injury is, participants won't die from it, and the pain they feel will be dulled down. However, if another participant touches someone's injury effect, even if it's covered, then they will both be hit with whatever pain that was felt when the injury was first inflicted. This pain will last ten seconds. The injury can also be as minor or major as desired. |

[ please give clem a fortune. ]

Ah, it's alright. I think I knew someone who did a lot of fortune telling once, and I've never put much stock in them.
[ he watches the spooky creaky robot move around, and then, the magical creaky robot says in its eerie, spooky, and loud voice - ]
Soon, many will know you as Xie Lian, the Dog Fu-
[ and xie lian claps both of his hands over clem's ears the minute it starts trying to say THAT particular phrase. ]
no subject
... Why...
no subject
...Someone...who I cannot remember, made that up as a password to something. So it had to be said out loud to unlock something.... I guess they didn't like me very much.
[ rip. ] That. Is probably a sign to stop.
no subject
Guess you probably don't know what you did to piss them off? [ if he can't even remember them. ]

[ he scratches his cheek, sheepish. ] I've had a lot of bad nicknames, but I think that one may rank up there as one of the worst...

[ like. ever. sometimes your life is just a series of sadness and yakity sax. ]
I think "The Laughingstock of the Three Realms" is the most common one right now... Or just, "You again?!" I've been called a god of misfortune, too.... of pestilence... it all kind of comes and goes over the years. I'm used to it.

[ life is always a series of disasters. ]/small>
... But, I don't know. Means people know about you, and means you made it through all the bullshit I guess?
no subject
I think that's enough fortune telling for me today.
no subject
You sure? Maybe you'll get a better one.
... Either way, I want one.
no subject
he claps his hands! yes, yes, good idea. ]
Ah, yes! I wonder what kind of result you'll get...? Good luck, Miss Clem!

the machine spits out a piece of paper while it announces, loudly: Get another fortune-cookie. ]
... I didn't even get a first one.
[ ... these aren't... fortune-cookies fortunes. why this. ]
no subject
...Um. Try again?
no subject
another paper spits out. Error 502 ]
... I give up.
no subject
[ stupid ]
...Let me try again.
[ ahem. he hits the button. ]
All of the members of your family will die!
[ .... ]
They're already dead.
no subject
and. ... ah. that sure is a fortune. ]
Mine too.
[ same dead parents backstory! ]

[ a beat. ]
Miss Clem, may I see your hand for a moment?
no subject
At least I know, and I didn't have to do it myself or watch it happen.
[ and? she holds out her hand curiously? ]
no subject
[ he takes her hand and studies her palm. intensely, squinting like he's looking for something, and then... taps a line. ]
...I believe this line means... that we should leave this fortune telling place immediately and go eat some of this candy cotton instead.
[
no he has no idea how to read palms at all ]
no subject
I bet that's truer than anything we can get from this thing.
no subject
xie lian looks very pleased and clasps his hands together in his sleeves. ]
Shall we?
no subject
I might even take cotton candy over good fortunes.
[ she likes... food. ]
no subject
[ he has some feelings about fortune. and misfortune. mostly misfortune. ]
Delicious treats such as those available here, however, are always concrete, and should be enjoyed while we have them.
no subject
[ ... ]
And not better than food.
