WEEK SIX: MINGLE

WEEK SIX: MINGLE (25 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Elsa, Yona, Shigeo, and Fiora's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Also, anyone who had been poisoned during trial will still be feeling sick! Haha! Finally, participants will find that they are now sporting a new injury. This injury is one that they received in their past, whether they remember it or not. No matter how fatal the injury is, participants won't die from it, and the pain they feel will be dulled down. However, if another participant touches someone's injury effect, even if it's covered, then they will both be hit with whatever pain that was felt when the injury was first inflicted. This pain will last ten seconds. The injury can also be as minor or major as desired.

[He holds up one hand a little, like he means he doesn't intend to get any closer to Hansa. This is a response he's surprisingly familiar with navigating.]

You can put your feet in. A little chilly, but not bad.

[Unfortunately, when he comes out of the water, he's in a horrendous 80s speedo, but we will nyoom around THAT, it's fine. He will sit on the edge of the shore and put the snorkel beside him.]

Chilly, huh...

[He gives a raise of the eyebrow at the damn speedo, but doesn't comment on it. Handa considers it for a moment, before walking forward and removing his shoes. He just has like. Metal clogs for feet. This somehow doesn't register with him.]

[He moves to sit next to Blanca, before letting his feet rest in the water. A long pause.]

...Yeah, it is a little cold.

[papasha]

[Hansa, your fucking metal feetsies? Awful. He offers the man a small smile.]

See? Once you're in, you get use to it. Though I suppose I've been chastised a few times about getting in with injuries.

How have you been doing?

[robopriest]

You're just asking to get infected if you do that.

[He says, bluntly. At the question, though...]

[He just shrugs.]

I don't know.

[papasha]

They might. Depends on the wound and the water sometimes.

[He peers at Hansa for a moment, or two, a little curious, but a little searching.]

Well, how are you doing now?

[robopriest]

[Another shrug. He just...seems a little confused, or upset. He's definitely not happy, judging by the way his mouth twists downwards.]

I...don't know.

[papasha]

[hm,,]

How do you feel? Like nothing...?

[robopriest]

Its not nothing. It's just...I feel too many things to define. Like...I just want to run away somewhere, and never look back.

[Hansa lets out a low groan, burying his head in his hands.]

Its just a lot.

[papasha]

Ah. I understand.

[He wants to put a reassuring hand on Hansa's shoulder, but thinks it might startle the man too much, so he doesn't.]

I did move to the Caribbean. Someone I know once told me I was running away. I suppose... he hadn't been wrong necessarily. I was running from my old life to try to start over.

[robopriest]

...You?

[He raises his head, looking over at Blanca curiously.]

You just wanted a normal life, didn't you?

[papasha]

Me.

[He offers Hansa a small smile.]

I did. I wanted to be away from what I had been a part of before. I thought I was finished with that life.

[robopriest]

You thought...?

[Hm.]

Did you succeed?

[papasha]

I did for a little while. Then a former employer asked me to do something for him.

Seems like your past always runs to catch up with you, doesn't it?

[robopriest]

[He seems a little gloomy at that.]

...Was it the man you told me about? And...yeah. It sort of feels that way now, actually.

[papasha]

It was that man, yes.

[Very carefully and gently, he gives Hansa a small nudge with his elbow. And then a little smile.]

I'm glad you're here, though.

[robopriest]

[A very slight tensing at the nudge...and then he gives a slight, shy smile. Its very unlike Hansa.]

Thank you. I'm...glad I'm here, too.

[VERY unlike Hansa. It's almost endearing to see it, in a way. But only because he's so use to having seen Hansa's earnest and bold smile of amusement. When Hansa was having a good time.]

Have you been to the boardwalk yet? Is it... too noisy for you?

[robopriest]

A bit noisy, but...they've got lots of food!

[INSTANTLY LIGHTING UP]
