WEEK SIX: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your seventh investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [ good morning there are so many boardwalk rides. xie lian's ready to look around and investigate this morning. he's even wearing a tshirt under his robes that is turning slightly pink from his bandages, but it's fine.

xie lian waves to taako and then does a quick glance up and down the various rides. anything immediately off? a magic sign that tells us which ride to check first? ]

Seriously, why are these things always at bass o'clock. This is ridiculous. Maybe for the next 8 weeks we all agree to kill at like, business hours.

[Anyway. What's the scoops. Is there blood on the ground.]

[ Well, one thing is going to be very obvious: the ferris wheel no longer exists! It's gone. Vanished into the night.

Otherwise, you'll have to check out the rides individually! For reference, you have anything linked in the album and the buildings in the sentence following that album, in the locations post (house of mirrors, a tent for fortune telling where participants will receive rude fortunes, and a funhouse). ]

[ who would get rid of the ferris wheel... what about that poor worker? was it the duck?

anyway.... xie lian looks from left to right from the three. he's been in the fortune teller's tent before - it's not very big, so, he points to it, and scuttles over there to lift the flap.

anything to see that's off in the fortune teller tent on first view? blood, weapons, a ferris wheel? ]

Well.

Just following XL then, checking out the . . . rides? Are all the rest of them still there? Anything obviously off?]

[ Because there are a million places, I'll be nice: Xie Lian does not find anything in the fortune teller tent. Especially not the ferris wheel.

All of the rides are still there! I'll start Taako off by gently steering him towards the rollercoaster, where near the front of it he finds an empty bottle of painkillers. ]

[ HEY I WAS SPECIFIC!!!!

okay welp, he'll take one last look around just to make sure, and then go check around the perimeter of it... and then move on to check where the ferris wheel used to be standing, i guess.

did the wheel just vanish out of thin air? is the base...stand thing still there? ]

[This again? Going to pick it up - carefully, with the edge of his shirt so he doesn't ruin any prints if there are any. Is the bottle just laying there un opened? Is there anything else near the front of the coaster? Blood. Gloves. Shoes from dead people.]

[ I have no idea. If the base stand thing would've been physically attached to the ferris wheel, then yeah, it gone.

There doesn't seem to be anything else here! Would Taako like to move onto a new ride? ]

okay well!! can we speedrun two rides at a time. let's do a quick check over the (throws dart) tilt a whirl and the (throws another dart) drop tower of death! he'll go peek in all the seats at the tilt a whirl since they're hooded like that.

anything weird at first sight on those? footsteps? prescription drugs? blood? xl's body because i'm a ghost? ]

[WAIT BUT WHERE IS THE FERRIS WHEEL THOUGH

if we can look at two rides then ig the. carosel. And the spinny seat swing thing. God I don't know the names of rides. This is terrible.]

[ Where is the ferris wheel.

Xie Lian does not find footsteps, prescription drugs, or blood. Instead, he finds Hua Cheng's body. Hua Cheng was the ghost all along! But you already knew that. (He does not actually find Hua Cheng's body. He finds nothing, in fact.)

On the saddle of a random carousel horse, Taako finds gun parts (a barrel and gun sight). Nothing at the spinny seat swing thing, though. ]

[ hua cheng is.... has been dead! no

anyway since hua cheng is not in fact in any of those two rides, let's go check another one! how about this comic sans zero gravity thing! anything in seats? what about the little operating area, or on the stairs?

i'll leave taako the last round one ]

[But first is there anything else in the carosel? like on the horse seats. Or just. This Gun. Any feetie prints, blood splatters, stuff like that?

If there isn't off he goes to the. Whatzit. The loop. The big horrible circle. So many of these rides make me so sick.]

[ Xie Lian finds nothing there either!

There doesn't seem to be anything else at the carousel, or at the whatzit. ]

[ okay you know what let's go check out the stuff that actually has names.

xie lian will wait for taako to catch up, and then look between the funhouse and the house of mirrors. ]

They head to the funhouse! Nothing seems off on the outside. ]

is there a specific path to follow? mini event says there are two different doors so... he's gonna check along the floor and then poke his head in to the door on the left. anything to see?

any more pills around. Anything on the floor. or the ceiling???? We haven't been checking ceilings. Anything in the door on the right since XL took the left.]

[ I've never been in a funhouse either! So I will sum it up by saying that Xie Lian and Taako possibly have lots of fun in this funhouse while other people find a corpse, maybe, but they also find nothing in here. ]

...Dude, I couldn't find anything.... That place was like...whoaaaa.

[ now that we've had a wonderful surfer bonding experience, i guess we should go check out the house of mirrors instead ]

[ That's mod speak for "I can't even pretend to bully you when most of us don't know what a funhouse looks like, so it would just be us crying in vague descriptions at each other."

They don't find blood at the mirrorhouse, but they do find a velociraptor in a cat kigu wandering around outside. It is very sad-looking. ]

[ ohhhh no.

xie lian crouches down and reaches out to the velociraptor, and holds out his hands for it, making soft "pspspsps" noises. would. would this specific velociraptor come to a familiar face? ]
