WEEK SIX: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your seventh investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). she sighs and stares out over the sand. what does she see, is it the killer's name written in the sand ]

[ haha, it's that time again...! Usagi's already here because waves are supposedly relaxing but she sure looks tense again.

[ good morning there are so many boardwalk rides. xie lian's ready to look around and investigate this morning. he's even wearing a tshirt under his robes that is turning slightly pink from his bandages, but it's fine.

xie lian waves to taako and then does a quick glance up and down the various rides. anything immediately off? a magic sign that tells us which ride to check first? ]

[ Hua Cheng is not going to judge her and her layers. Did he sleep on beach..1? and make his way over this way, or was he already here?

I have no idea, but he's looking around as he comes to join Lup - anything in the immediate waterline with the tide? Are we at low tide? High tide? Does it matter? ]

Seriously, why are these things always at bass o'clock. This is ridiculous. Maybe for the next 8 weeks we all agree to kill at like, business hours.

[Anyway. What's the scoops. Is there blood on the ground.]

[hm...well sora's jumping down from the pier and approaching usagi, eyes sweeping the beach and the waves.]

Morning. Water we looking for..?

[ As Lup stares out over the sand, she sees... footprints. Unfortunately. :unamused: She might also see something large and sandy in the distance...?

It's of whatever tide you want it to be, maybe. Hua Cheng will see something shining on the shoreline. ]

[retellers]

[ There's no body buried in the sand, although they might notice something sticking out of the sand nearer to the ocean! It looks a bit like a small stick from far away. ]

Fintastic. [ she mutters, after giving hua cheng a little smile. time to compare her feet to the footprints! also, she's going to... go towards the large and sandy thing. which way do the footprints lead? ]

Tubular. [ dryly back to her muttering, Hua Cheng shoots a quirk of an almost-smirk her way before - heading off towards the shiny thing. Anything of note as he gets closer to check it out?

What's the shiny thing. ]

[ she gives sora a bit of a stink eye for that pun but luckily the maybe stick catches her eye! wow, lucky. ]

There's something over there...?

[ time to crab shuffle their way over ]

[pouting. but okay. if there's something sticking out of the sand that usagi's going to go fetch, he'll follow along and heads for the water itself. anything floating nearby?]

[ It turns out it's not a stick once Usagi unearths it! It's an arrow! She'll recognize it as the same kind of arrows as the ones from the ruins, many weeks back.

There is something in the water. it looks like the fin of a dolphin? ]

[retellers]

[ Well, one thing is going to be very obvious: the ferris wheel no longer exists! It's gone. Vanished into the night.

Otherwise, you'll have to check out the rides individually! For reference, you have anything linked in the album and the buildings in the sentence following that album, in the locations post (house of mirrors, a tent for fortune telling where participants will receive rude fortunes, and a funhouse). ]

[ hm.... she squints at it. it's not covered in blood or has a useful 'I DID IT' note tied to the shaft does it? ]

Don't these look like the ones Chiron-san had...?

[ she'll be taking it back to Sora. ]

[he looks over his shoulder and he nods slowly.]

Yeah...kinda fishy, isn't it? [and speaking of fishy:] Hold onto that. Anything on it?

[...he's gonna wade in the water after this dolphin fin i'm sorry. what is this...?]

[ who would get rid of the ferris wheel... what about that poor worker? was it the duck?

anyway.... xie lian looks from left to right from the three. he's been in the fortune teller's tent before - it's not very big, so, he points to it, and scuttles over there to lift the flap.

anything to see that's off in the fortune teller tent on first view? blood, weapons, a ferris wheel? ]

[ There's no note on the arrow! It's just an arrow.

Sora jumps into the ocean blindly and the dolphin swims up to him with a happy dolphin noise. Also it is holding a gun in its mouth. ]

[ Lup will find that the footprints are around her size, though they don't lead in any particular direction. The large and sandy thing, as it turns out, is a glorious sandcastle. Who the heck had time to build this last night.

Hua Cheng doesn't see anything of note along the way, but the shiny thing is a golden bow. ]

[moondumplings]

[ terrible. ]

Nothing!!

[ meanwhile, noticing the shiny weapon in its mouth, usagi pales terribly ]

Sora-kun! The dolphin.....!
