WEEK SIX: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your seventh investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [ The boardwalk stalls have been... mcfuckin trashed. There are destroyed stalls everywhere! Stuffed animal prizes lying all over! Closest to Alphi and Claude, there's a pile with a beheaded winnie the pooh, a skunk without a tail, and ... a giant llama? The rest of the toys in this pile seem okay. ]

(OKAY...

I guess he's going to go check out the pile of toys? Why are they in a pile? He'll see if there's anything under or inside them. Are... the toy body parts around? Are we going to have to do a toy body hunt we already can't find regular bodies please)

[ No... not the stalls.

But Alphinaud turns his attention to the pile, for now, with a sigh. ]

What an utter mess... Doubtless so to cover up the true evidence, though I fear we may be here all day.

[ Why so much!! While Claude checks out the toy pile, Alphinaud will peek into the stall closest to them. (what kind of stall is it. tell me.) ]

[ they're not a like, deliberate pile, just messy like something ran through, broke the stalls, and so all the prizes are lying about and around in messy piles. Anyway, there's a lotus flower tucked on this giant llama's ear...

There's nothing in the stall closest to them because it's trashed and broken, but Alphi can go check out more stalls further away, and, because I'm not a total asshole, he might notice one of the larger shooting stalls and a few around it are busy being flattened.

By the ferris wheel. ]

(Why is there a lotus flower weird? I guess he'll take the flower.

Hmm how does the path of destruction look? Does it look like a PERSON RAN THROUGH or A FERRIS WHEEL ROLLED THROUGH? How did that even happen.)

[ uhhhh. bye stalls...

Alphinaud will check around the ferris wheel then, or at least what's around on the ground of where the wheel is flattening everything for the moment. ]

[ they look like something ran through, but not like the actual ferris wheel itself. only the stalls the ferris wheel is on seem to have been damaged by something like it, in fact? weird. going around it, alphinaud will notice something seems to be embedded in one of the broken stalls.

anyway, the flower is just there for decoration, but grabbing it lets claude see that there is a tiger plushie beneath the llama with a sword in it. ]

(Who is stabbing toys with swords and what even is this damage?

Gonna reach out to take that sword!! How's the blade? Is it clean, damaged, covered in blood? You know.

Also is there anything on the ground around that might give clues about what went through? Prints, marks, a trails of convenient blood?)

[ time to check out what the embedded thing is! ]

[ It's... a shield! It's pretty deeply embedded in there.

The blade Claude pulls out, meanwhile, has a fancy hilt but no blood on it. He can look around for prints and marks or convenient blood, but there's nothing to help much. Though whatever went through the stalls must have been large, even if not ferris wheel massive. ]

(I cant believe Bucky is murdering from the grave.

WHAT WENT THROUGH THESE STALLS A DINOSAUR??? Oookay but he'll give one last check around these stalls to see if anything is out of order? Anything hanging on the prize walls or behind the counters?

If not, he'll go join Alphinaud.)

[ Well, he's going to try to pry this shield out of here, yet he is but a tiny noodle, so: ]

... Claude—I would ask for your assistance, when you have a moment.

[ Bucky did it! Case closed. Anyway, before Claude can go help, he's looking around, so he will notice a different pile of cute plushies! These just seem to have been thrown without being too trampled, so that's good. There's a bear, a wolf, a bunny, a seal, and a snake curled up on a goat. Adorable.

Alphinaud is not king arthur and fails to get the shield out. It's like Alphinaud doesn't want to go check out the stalls that weren't destroyed, which are all past this one point. ]

Yeah, right. Hold tight, brah.

(I hate.

But anyway just give him a second Alphinoodle because Claude's goign to check out this pile first!! Gonna move aside the animals and do about the same! Anything under them? Inside them? Covered in anything... you know.)

[ mods pls. claude... pls.

Anyway! This shield is Claude's responsibility now! Since the mods are slapping me, Alphinaud will go past this point!! To the other stalls!! What's weird around here, folks. ]

[ Well if Claude is going through the whole pile, he will notice the snake is not a plushie.

It's a regular snake.

Anyway, meanwhile, while going to see the other stalls, Alphinaud will find a piece of paper pinned underneath the wreckage! ]

(Claude having violent flashbacks its fine

MODS?? Claude is going to let out a surprised yelp because that is a real snake and WHY IS THERE A SNAKE THIS IS A BEACH SETTING

But the snake is lucky Claude loves nature and animals so the snake can live? He'll take off his jacket which, by the way, is like a zip up beach hoodie and throw it over the snake? Try to catch it? Please don't bite him

[ Godspeed Claude... Alphinaud will only give him a glance because he also needs to check out this paper!

And then look at a ball still conveniently sitting on the counter. Then the paper. Then the ball.

... He is so glad Claude is too busy with a snake now, because Alphinaud will finally do what he's been trying to resist this whole time and throw the ball in an attempt to knock over a stack of bottles I've decided are still there. You know, carnival games.

[ Well, good news for Claude! The snake is already dead! So it doesn't matter what he does with it. It's not moving. It's just a dead snake that Cladue is now carrying in his jacket.

Anyway, the paper is a wedding RSVP! It reads Xie Lian and Dorothy on the fill in the name spaces. Also, since Alphi was playing a carnival game, he may notice that there's a bullet hole behind the bottles he didn't manage to knock over. ]

(CLAUDE IS A VERY SAD DEER BOY BECAUSE EVEN SNAKES DESERVE TO LIVE???

But I guess he'll have to carry around this sword and dead snake now. (i'm closing my eyes).

Is that everything because Claude is going to try to take out this shield like Alphinoodle requested? Is this enough or is he going to have to get someone else to help with this.)

[ ruh roh!

He'll grab the rsvp and climb over the counter to hop into the stall. Time to check out the bullet hole!! Anything else worth seeing within the immediate area while Alphinaud is looking around? ]

[ There's a bullet in the bullet hole! Also the hole was in a prop target, because that's funny.

Anyway, Claude is strong enough to take out the shield, but it will take him a bit of force. It's really wedged in there. Who did this and why. ]

[riegan]

(LOOK... he's gonna leave it there for now then because #time. He's gonna try to catch up with Alphinaud but first! The ferris wheel?

Mods is it on its side or some how upright because Claude will want to check out the Ferris wheel cars. Pods? The place where people ride.)

[ TIME... Okay, Alphinaud will be crawling his way back out of here after collecting the bullet i guess and rejoin Claude. ]

No luck getting it out?

[ But yes they should check the inside of the ... pods? ... proper. Alphinaud will help. ]

[ Well. It's sort of upright? More like the leaning tower of ferris, if you know what I mean. Hopefully it doesn't fall down and crush people! Or more stalls. Gotta save those games.

There's nothing in the pods closest to the ground. ]
