WEEK SIX: TRIAL
WEEK SIX: TRIAL (22 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: Please go to the Emporium at 12. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Wolf speaks. "Nine hours. You know what to do." Hello, everyone, and welcome to the seventh trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. If you have any questions at any time, please let us know by pinging us on Discord! |

CHIRON'S BODY
Chiron was found in the ocean, so. That probably explains why his skin and lips are blue. He's still wet. His eyes are bloodshot, too.
He's got broken bones and bruising all on his right side. Mostly his right side, anyway. There's no discernable pattern. His baskets are missing. I don't know if that means we missed them anywhere or he just left them in his room, but. Maybe we should look for those.
I don't know, maybe he got pushed off of something high and then fell into the ocean. Or something fell on him. He's pretty heavy. We had to get Goat to teleport him out, so I'm just. I'm, uh, not sure how he got there.
Someone else can double check to see if he's got something I missed if you want, I don't want to look at him being dead anymore.

...it's possible some of his stuff got washed away somehow, isn't it? People found his bow and an arrow at the beach so maybe he still had his things. [let's talk about that and not about chiron being dead because that's not okay.]
no subject
Could be, for sure. We can double-check the beach? I don't know if he had anything useful in his baskets.
no subject
We can, sure. But if it's gone then...[he frowns softly.]
I'm curious how somebody managed to get him that far. Chiron wasn't exactly the smallest person here.

in the meantime she'll just stay here and rest her chin on top of his head. ]

[ 'sup lup. she doesn't have red eyes yet but she looks fuckin' miserable so i guess they can misery vibe. ]

[ except for how you are but that's fine
anyway, definite misery vibes!! she doesn't reach out to touch or anything but there's a little nod of horrible solidarity. ]

[ this is terrible. dammit marie. ]
From the way you described him it sounds like he... drowned... more than anything.
no subject
I'm sure. He probably, um. Was on the ferris wheel, and then hit the water hard, and drowned because he couldn't... swim, then.

[no body no face so no one can see his feels haha..he instead finds distraction in discussing the physics of the problem]

[ ... ]
... It's the only thing tall enough. So... maybe we just have to figure out how or why he would've been on it. We probably need to check the boardwalk again.

Thank you, Ruby. I know - it's a lot.
If you had to ask Goat for help, that brings up the question of how someone else could push him.
no subject
[ but she appreciates it. ] I think it must've been the ferris wheel? Maybe someone put him on it and then... knocked the ferris wheel over somehow? Did we ever figure out where the ferris wheel went?
no subject
Ah. I believe the ferris wheel was found by all the games on the boardwalk. It somehow moved over there.
[ i don't know where all the rides are situated on the boardwalk help ]
I don't know how close that is to the ocean.
no subject
And he got thrown out of it into the water. Really hard. [ she'd make a yeet joke here but it's insensitive ]

Maybe you should take a short break, Miss Ruby. You don't have to push yourself.
no subject
Nah, nah. I'm okay. I already did the grief thing, I'm here. But thanks.

[ Backing up everyone else's talks of the fall breaking his bones, and he'll be the one to just look somber while y'all are miserable. But he does touch his fingers to her wrist gently before continuing. ]
It's the most likely, even if we can't say for certain how it happened, unless the tides had something to do with it after he was in the water. If there were rocks underwater... it could explain both the fact he suffered more injuries on the right, and that he had some on the rest of his body.
