Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up.

As usual, the participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and should anyone check their PHS, Chiron, Ochako, Soo-won, and Dorothy's profiles have been removed. They may also find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks.

Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated.

Not everything is the same as the previous pattern, though. The barrier to the north is back up, and once more, what lies beyond is an empty field. In contrast, however, participants may notice that they can finally access a place they haven't been able to before...

Additionally, it looks like the Leaders aren't around. No matter where the participants look, they're nowhere to be found. Should anyone try calling for them in the Planetarium, there will be no response—not even a message telling the participant that they're busy.

Finally, everything around the participants begins to... glitch? Buildings may suddenly blink out of existence and then back in, random items like chairs or cups may suddenly distort even while they're being used, and looking at any particular thing for too long may give someone a headache. It's worse than it was that one week, though: participants will find that it's happening to themselves as well. Body parts might suddenly glitch out of existence then back in, and there will be a shot of pain when it occurs. It'll happen randomly, but it also seems to occur more often if they're touching something or another person.

[ she has limited ammo so Conserving that is the goal for now it looks like since they're looking to book it. shame she doesn't have magical girl reinforced strength right now, but that doesn't mean she's a slouch in self defense? rufus has the right idea with his kicks.

[ There's little time to be proud of his efforts; it will be the first and only time he will ever fuck up a robot without the aid of magic. Anyway! Sword relinquished, and hopefully with Rufus and Homura on robot demolishing duty, Alphinaud gestures westward.

Should they look, off in the distance they will see another area of cliffs, but this time, it looks like there are buildings built into it. Old timey ones for sure, but it's probably better than being out in the open by the lake. ]

That way is Revenant's Toll! Should we want for cover, there is plenty of it there!

[ Will this memory even extend that far? Who's to say. Time to scram, kids; Alphinaud takes it upon himself to quickly lead the way. ]

I have no idea where that is or where we're going!

[ But it's fine, the rest of the team minus Alphi can kick and/or slash robots while Adora picks? him up? to start going that way? IF SHE WAS GOING TO DO THIS THEN SHE COULD'VE DONE IT TO IZUMO

Still, they go through the distance into that other area of cliffs, winding up all the way-- back to the industrial complex they were at, except now they are inside the building?

Well.

That works out, sort of. ]

Well that happened. And will probably keep happening. [ unfortunately, their location might have changed back, but the robots are still there, now accompanied by people in various degrees of armor and stun batons. they will all, uh. well. try and attack, obviously, and so Adora will deposit Alphi back down on the ground and scream a little ] Oh come ON.

[ ah.

well. there goes the scenery around them again, which is sad because wherever alphi was talking about sounded a lot better than whatever the they are now. especially with the robots and the bonus of fools with the weapons.

izumo is here for a fight!!! ]

So much for sneaking in—if we're gonna plan on anything then we'd better just plan on doing it the loud and noisy way.

[ which is the less than stellar way to go about things but SOMETIMES YOU ALSO WANNA SMASH. two weeks of being able to do nothing was two weeks too many. where are they going? will the scenery change again on them? ]

[Rufus is this close to rushing the nearest person with a stun baton when Homura hands him a pipe bomb. That simplifies their plan. While the rest rush for cover, he pulls back to create distance between them and the security before chucking the well-aimed pipe bomb at the latter.

They're doing this the flashy way.]

[ run for cover/out of range, yup. rufus your throwing arm better be as good as promised. they should all know to Run, and if they don't then she will make them.

they don't have time for you, random security. she still is trying to conserve ammo, thank you. ]

[ HE HAS FEET, ADORA, WHY ARE YOU PICKING HIM UP!! (Just because he's small! Sheesh!)

But, uh, looks like a bomb is in play now soooo time to put some distance between himself and that. Bye. ]

[ Well. That sure is a bomb. There's a scream from Adora that might be IS THAT A BOMB before the pipe bomb explodes, and--

yeah the scenery changes again, im sorry for all their life choices. this time, it looks like they've skipped to a different part of the complex, at least? This may look somewhat familiar to Izumo and Izumo alone. Adora is... staring blankly at it, brought back to normal and no longer holding her sword. ]

That doesn't seem right. How did we get here?

[ how indeed; and as if the world of horrible memories itself is answering her, they all get a vision of a castle? It's Adora, Swan and the other boy, cornered by a woman with long pink hair and angelic wings and a man that looks a lot like Swan, in a hallway as the world breaks apart around them, glowing pink.

"I'm sorry, for everything. But we have to make this right."

And there's an echo, in the background, like something she regrets saying-- you'll always be around, telling me what I can't do-- and the scene skips, and once more Izumo might be the one to find this incredibly familiar; it is her memory after all. Again I'd write it down but taps wrist on my deadline. Anyway.

Sometimes, mother issues pop up with no reason. ]

[ wow i cannot believe that izumo is ENTIRELY over the concept of finding things that are familiar to her. familiarity is definitely not bringing her comfort right now. things are are unfamiliar to her would seem to be much better, in all honesty, but it's whatever. the memories for swan, the woman with the pink hair, and how the world just breaks apart in pink... WOW! HATE THIS.

the take two of this cyoa is a nightmare on some level.

you know she hates especially is that there is a bonus discomfort of memories that she is not in the mood to deal with right now. there's a notable tremble in her hands but she digs her weight into her heels and looks around them. there's plenty of time to unpack all of that later, or well, there should be if things end well. ]

If I were to wager anything, it's because everything is going to shit.

Th, there's a leaver somewhere. [ if she's frenetic and her voice wavers before breaking it's because holy overlapping mother issues!!! ] It'll turn off that damn machine.

[Once the visions fade, taking the tragic memories with them, Rufus turns away from the group. This isn't the time to be discussing what they just saw, and dwelling on the last set of memories in particular won't help them any. He doesn't so much as spare Izumo a glance as he steps away to look for that lever.]

[ glad rufus is on it, because while yuuri would help,

the world comes apart in pink. a brilliant pink glow to spell the world's end- this... has happened before, hasn't it?

her breathing hitches, the thrum of deep-seated sorrow and horror running through her veins without calling up any true recollection, and she grips more tightly onto her bow without understanding why. ]

[ As the memories flash before them and fade just as quickly, Alphinaud isn't as quick to search as Rufus is. He freezes, holding his breath without realizing, but he does take the moment to spare Izumo a look. His heart aches at the sight, but they cannot stop for anything—and it doesn't seem as if Izumo wants to, either.

Still—he's quickly at her side, giving one of her hands a gentle, reassuring squeeze. But then, he wastes no more time. ]

The lever, then—search for it, imme—

[ Alphinaud is cut short because suddenly there is like... a poof. And where he was just a second ago now stands a white, fluffy llama; it's half the height of a full grown one, how cute. Well, how weird! Anyway. Levers, right? ]

anyway, there does not seem to be a lever for anyone to find so easily, but unlike last time there is a sword hanging out right in the middle of that portal, so maybe? there?

the cat is sitting on top of the portal, by the way. it's just there. ]

[ hm. would love to be of use but... seems a bit clear as to what they need to do? ish?? either get the cat or get the sword then cat? sorry homura for your bsod but izumo needs one more moment.

because suddenly boyfriend is a llama which is something that she wishes was something of a surprise for her but given the dubious date of which this is taking place, izumo is kind of...aware of it. just unfortunate(?) that it's now. or maybe it's fine because izumo is now just going to bring a hand to her face and put another on top of llama!alphi's head.

there's always too much going on here. ]

[The search for a lever comes up fruitless. Rufus tries the sword next by approaching the portal. Behind him, Rupe bounds after and then stands poised to shoot the cat again, should it move.]

[ it's fine, because yuuri's response to trauma these days is to find the next important thing to shoot. or accomplish, anyway. she can't be made useless, won't be made useless, even if it's far too late to be doing anything about that. backlash against bad memories you don't even have out of sheer spite.

go be king arthur of the electric sword, Rufus. maybe adora can tackle a cat again. there's not much for her to do here other than watch the car, is there? ]

[ There is a baby llama here, who just makes... a llama noise in surprise. This is the worst.

But it's fine! There is little to do here but see what comes of Rufus' efforts to retrieve the sword and also keep a close eye on the cat. ]

[ I'm in tears at baby llama. Either way, Rufus grabs the sword-- and Homura was right that he will feel a bit of an electric current, but that's fun and neat and not a bother at all. Rupe does not get to shoot the cat again because the cat is just there. Being present.

There's, you will never guess it, a flash of light--

And then they're in a different area altogether. The world does not seem to be falling apart anymore, at least, but Adora is no longer with them. They seem to be alone in a castle once more. Except...

There's two paths in front of them? The first is well-lit, but breaking down the more it goes on, like it's falling apart and can't hold itself together. The second is darker and getting darker as it goes, but at least looks like it's leading somewhere, considering the other one might be full of rubble. Who knows! ]

[ WHY IS ANAIS SAYING THIS IS THE WORST. SHE DID THIS.

anyway izumo is also lamenting how alphi is still a llama. she'll keep a hand on llama!alphi's head and pet him reassuringly (hopefully). maybe it's best this way? can't think about her trauma when your mind is focused on a llama instead. ...or that would be the case if they weren't brought to yet another new location.

boy does she hate this cyoa so much. it was terrible the first time and now it's bad a second time. even though she has a suggestion in mind, she'll want to take a closer look at each path. anything else noteworthy of the two options at hand? ]

I know this sounds crazy, but I would suggest we go down the path that's falling apart.

[The scene has changed again. Rufus pulls out a compass from his pocket and heads where it points down the dark path.]

I will follow this path.

... Should we split up, or stick together, then?

[ because she, too, wants to go down the dark path. ]

[ Baby llama is the best. A llama also cannot make any suggestions on where to go, and the only reason he is okay with headpats is because it's Izumo (and even then it's a little... embarrassing...). Still, he cants his head curiously at Izumo, and also seems to regard Rufus' compass in some questioning manner? What does that do.

But he can't ask, because he is a llama. Hopefully Rufus just understands llama body language. ]

[ There is unfortunately not much to either path, right now. They just look like hallways. One is well-lit but broken down and the other is dark but pretty and shiny.

Neither of them have a llama in it YET, but I can't wait for llama. ]

We're definitely not splitting up. [ resolutely.

she doesn't agree with the dark path but she won't disagree with it. and she'll unknowingly put to voice alphi's question—more or less. ]

Is that compass telling you where to go or is it something else?

[ despite saying this, she's going to be following rufus down the dark path. she has her reservations, but given what happened before—it's fine. they can always turn around if it gets bad.

...hopefully anyway. ]

[Hopefully that something is a person. Joined by Izumo and Rupe, Rufus navigates the dark hallway while there's visibility.]
