WEEK SEVEN: MINGLE

WEEK SEVEN: MINGLE (21 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. As usual, the participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and should anyone check their PHS, Chiron, Ochako, Soo-won, and Dorothy's profiles have been removed. They may also find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Not everything is the same as the previous pattern, though. The barrier to the north is back up, and once more, what lies beyond is an empty field. In contrast, however, participants may notice that they can finally access a place they haven't been able to before... Additionally, it looks like the Leaders aren't around. No matter where the participants look, they're nowhere to be found. Should anyone try calling for them in the Planetarium, there will be no response—not even a message telling the participant that they're busy. Finally, everything around the participants begins to... glitch? Buildings may suddenly blink out of existence and then back in, random items like chairs or cups may suddenly distort even while they're being used, and looking at any particular thing for too long may give someone a headache. It's worse than it was that one week, though: participants will find that it's happening to themselves as well. Body parts might suddenly glitch out of existence then back in, and there will be a shot of pain when it occurs. It'll happen randomly, but it also seems to occur more often if they're touching something or another person.

We're not necessarily lying. She's... someone we know by a different name. Because she lost her memories. She was one of the people leading the groups we were split in to -- and for all we know, one of her teammates could be in this group looking for her.

It's just been easier to get to this point not going into detail because who would believe that a bunch of people who've been trapped somewhere for two months are now running through their own memories to find one of the people who've been guiding us the whole time?

[ at this point she might as well just be honest. ange, shh. unless she's adding to that with more information. ]

[No she'll shh. It figures that their kind of sort of lie mostly truth is what they're called out on!!

This is why she lies!!!

But Alex has got it covered and Ange won't really say anything until necessary.

It sounds so ridiculous, really, but hey, maybe this chick goes for that sort of thing.]

[retellers]

[ Listen, she's calling them out because they said they are a group of performing runaways and then said that Rabbit is also a peforming runaway from proxy. This is bullshit. ]

I think you guys are confused. [ She places her hands on her hips. ] But your confusion is pretty interesting! Something is definitely going on here, so I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

[ she wanders off, they can follow. ]

We're really not.

[ but hey. they'll follow her? maybe? she's looking for bnuuy too. ]

[lecarre]

[She shrugs a little and follows as well.

Anything that gets them to their goal is fine by her!!]

[discernments]

[ an older rabbit... hopefully, this is a step in the right direction. but that's an interesting thing she said. ]

The other you? I suppose we are, but is that not also you?

... Can you tell us how to find her?

[ Haruhi is walking, not bothering to check to see if they're behind her. But she seems to know where she's going, at least. ]

Where have you two gone? The clubroom? Yuki said she saw you there.

[ Back with Jeanne and Hilda who is here, the older Rabbit shakes her head. ]

That's the me from a long time ago. But you have to wake her up.

[chanteuser]

Yes, we went there first.

[ nyoom. ]

[lecarre]

We were checking classrooms along the way as well, but we did not find her there.

[Obviously.

nyoom!!]

[axecessory]

[ she looks over this other rabbit, frowning. where is their bunny? at least rabbit in some form seems to know what's going on. ]

And how are we supposed to do that...?

[retellers]

[ As they walk, Ange and Alex will feel as if people are staring at them--and they are. They'll hear whispers, people muttering if they're new members of the SOS Brigade, who did Haruhi drag with her this time... Haruhi ignores it all and then

bursts into another classroom. This time, another teenage boy is here, and he looks so exasperated. ]

Haruhi?

[ Meanwhile, older Rabbit stands up and walks over to the two girls. ]

I can't say. Classified information. But I'll help you.

[chanteuser]

[ alex waves at this poor boy who seems as tired as she does. ]

Hello.

[ she is not haruhi, but she's offering a greeting anyway. ]

[lecarre]

[Ange is unbothered by the staring.

Also not too concerned about this random dude, but, well. She takes her cues from Alex and waves as well. I guess. She's not really undercover right now so she's half-assing it.]

[axecessory]

[ ange is too tired to pretend anymore and I respect her

hilda gladly accepts this older rabbit, canting her head. ]

Thanks! I'm pretty worried about your... other self. Whatever you can help us with, we'd really appreciate.

[discernments]

[ Classified information....?

Jeanne accepts that well enough. Any help is better than none. ]

Please lead the way, however you can.

[retellers]

[ He just looks even more exasperated as he looks at them. Haruhi announces that it is now his job to take care of them and fills him in, and she leaves the room without much ceremony to continue her search elsewhere. He, however, immediately squints. ]

Are you some other secret organization I should be aware of? Will I need to be saved after an overly polite attempt on my life? Why are you searching for [ LAWN MOWER DOWNSTAIRS IS RUNNING AROUND ON A RAMPAGE ] exactly?

[ Meanwhile, the older Rabbit will walk out of the room and gesture for them to follow. As they walk, they'll get that same sense of sleepiness they had before, but they don't actually fall asleep this time.

[chanteuser]

Because we have to. [ she nods at haruhi ] We tried telling her but she didn't believe us, so I'm sorry if I don't feel positive about going through that again. But... she's my friend. And I need to find her.

That's enough, right?

[ she sounds sincere. it's alex, of course she sounds sincere. ]

[lecarre]

[Ange, ever a helper, adds:]

We cannot promise that there will not be any attempts on your life, though hopefully we have escaped the killing phase of this entire situation. It is most likely safe.

[okay.]

But we do need to find her. There are many lives at stake. [and while Ange is no hero... Dorothy's life is among that number, so she's quite sincere on that front.]

[axecessory]

[ as the drowsiness comes along again, she makes a face, expecting yet another sleeping spell, but...

maybe this older rabbit is a good luck charm, because it doesn't take them out this time.

she follows eagerly along, or as eagerly as a sleepy person can. she yawns, stretching her arms over her head as they walk to wherever they're going. ]

Do you know what's going on here? Or is that 'classified' too?

[discernments]

[ She shakes her head to clear what drowsiness she can. Jeanne is marching forward through this sleepiness by nature of her will.

She tries to keep an eye on this older Rabbit as much as she does on their surroundings as she follows. ]

Were we falling asleep because she's asleep?

[retellers]

[ The young man just sighs. ]

No, I understand that all of these ridiculous things are just beyond me, but they keep happening. [ He gets up. ] But I told her that I'll protect her, so I trust that you guys actually do want to help. Let's go.

[ And he will try to get them to leave the room with them. He seems to know where to go.

The older Rabbit glances at them. ]

You're falling asleep because you've been going back through time. It's part of the process. As for everything else... I have an idea, because it's happening to me. I know what she knows, because here it would have already happened to me, even if this place isn't entirely real.

[chanteuser]

[ she's just going to follow him without a second thought, sorry to poor ange who has just been following her like 😒 this whole time.

[lecarre]

[It's fine, this is the life and times, Ange is used to it.

They at least seem to be making progress, so!! Following!!

...Honestly, all this time travel stuff is beyond me.

[ again, she doesn't know what a train is, much less temporal distortions. she doesn't really get it, but she believes her as much as anyone can, following along. ]

But if you tell us what to do... I guess I'll try my best.

[ Time is a funny thing in Fate/. I'm not thinking about it even if Jeanne would. ]

What kind of place is this, if it's not entirely real? I understand that our memories have affected it, but...

[ It's not too weird for her, but it is making her think. ]

... It'd be too much to ask you, if you'd know we have a hopeful end to this.
