WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains: - a single random one of the following headbands and sparklers - packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. Oh, I see... I suppose it would be a bit much for us to know offhand.

I just keep trying to think of clues for... well, for anything. I haven't come up with anything particularly useful, though.

Yeah....me either. Usually there's something to go off of right away, or someone to talk to, but I'm running out of ideas. [the dough for the tart is finished and he begins flattening it into a baking dish while turning on the oven.]

I guess this hotel's kind of a clue though. [what with their names being on stuff.]

[She tilts her head a little, puzzled, even as she brings over the properly sliced fruit.]

It is...? In what way?

[he gives her a smile of thanks while he takes the fruit and begins arranging everything.]

It's a clue that we really were brought here on purpose for some reason. I don't know if this was our final stop or not, but it could be. So whatever the reason is, we have to try and help them with whatever they need.

Oh, I see...! That does make sense, you are correct, Sora.

And if there are other things in this hotel that belong to us, or any other signs that we were picked for a reason that's even better. It means we'll be able to plan what to do next.

I'm glad. [if he can help even one person feel at ease, then he's done his job.] We'll know soon, but until then we just have to believe. [and they'll have to hold on if it's not true at all. but for now all they can do is wait and he gestures to the tart.] Let's put the last layer of fruit on and let it bake. It should be ready in a bit.

Oh, yes, all right!

[She carefully puts her ragged slices of fruit on top. Her chopped was bad, but her fruit arranging is okay...!!]

There, I believe that looks...about as good as it will look.

It looks great. [reassuring! yeah it's kind of lumpy but this is the best they can do which means into the oven it goes.] Thanks for your help. This was fun.

[It's lumpy and sad but it's their tart baby and that is what really matters.]

It will be even more fun when we are able to eat it.

Definitely! It already smells delicious. [y'all barely put it in the oven.] We should do it again sometime. If you want.

I promise to practice... so that it looks nicer next time. The fruit, I mean.

Okay. I'm counting on you! [he's sure no matter what ange does it'll be great because she's putting her heart in it.] This place is pretty small, so come find me whenever you want to practice and we'll do it together. It's always more fun cooking with a friend anyway.
