WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (OVERFLOW)
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure theyāre arriving in the evening? Just say āhelloā! Or āgreetingsā! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh thatās true. Greetings, everyone. Thatās better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the thatās better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

ange.
Mostly this is to avoid captcha tho. ]
hilda
Oh, yes, of course. I'm Ange.
[She shuffles in place for a moment, before she dips into a small curtsey.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hilda. I'm very relieved you are up to taking a break with me. I'd be quite happy to make the tea...!
[Everyone is bustling about so much, Ange would've felt self-conscious taking a break alone......]
no subject
That's so kind of you, Ange.
[ She can provide the tea bags, at least. She's not a monster, theoretically. ]
You should really let yourself take a break even if I'm not around, though. Everyone has their own limits, right?
no subject
And is now even worried for her well-being!]
Oh, um... yes, of course! It just--I suppose I felt a little bad to be the only one resting when everyone else seems to be working so hard right now...

Is that so bad? I thought that your viewpoint just now was quite optimistic.
Almost impressively so, honestly.

[ How can he say "I was just trying to make you feel better" without coming off like a decent person? ugh ]
Aah, anyways, there's no reason to be all doomsday about things, right?
no subject
I suppose you are right about that. We are here now, so... we must try to make the best of it.
What is your name, mister?

[shhh don't curse us with this forbidden knowledge]
I... most certainly agree. It isn't the sort of thing young ladies like us should have to handle.
[ange don't be a prude.]
But I suppose we can dispose of them without too much trouble, in the end...
no subject
She sighs, placing a hand over her chest.]
I suppose... Though, I really wish we didn't have to dispose of it in the first place. Everything else in the bags seemed so thoughtful, too.

[considering... what it is...]
It is a rather rude gift to give, as well.
sharon
[Aaah?
Once Ange realizes, she jumps up.]
Oh--um, please let me help while I do!
[Just sitting here and letting Sharon take care of it all feels super rude...]
no subject
As you'd like.
[steps aside at the sink to make room for Ange]

Now, let's see... my classmates. Oh...! I know. There is one classmate of mine, Miss Chiako. She's an exchange student from Japan of all places. It is so far away, I cannot imagine. She is so brave, going so far away for school!

Oh, I see... I suppose it would be a bit much for us to know offhand.
I just keep trying to think of clues for... well, for anything. I haven't come up with anything particularly useful, though.
no subject
I guess this hotel's kind of a clue though. [what with their names being on stuff.]

[Oh... well. His voice is nice, and even though he's an intimidating suit of armor, he seems to really want to help everyone...
So at his apologetic hand waving, she can't help but smile a little, dipping her head.]
Admittedly... no, that is still a little frightening to think about.
But I find your spirited determination to keep everyone here safe very reassuring, sir! I can't help but believe in you.
no subject
well, if he really is stuck here that's the best thing that he can do for now, and he'll just have to trust that the others can fight without him]
I'll do everything I can!
By the way, my name is Alphonse. Alphonse Elric. I'm an alchemist! [even if alchemy isn't working right now.....]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Alphonse... [...]
But what is an alchemist? You mean like in stories and things?

... Is that truly all right, sir?
What if something happens while we are watching and waiting? I... must admit I'm rather anxious waiting for our captors to appear.
Re: emet-selch

They have a duty! Sort of!
So reluctantly, she shakes her head.]
Um, I think going back to looking around is probably a good idea... but I would be very happy to explore with you!

All right. What have you seen? We can investigate what you haven't covered yet.

But you are someone who has had a difficult life, clearly. You clearly deserve at least some concern.
