WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (OVERFLOW)
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure theyāre arriving in the evening? Just say āhelloā! Or āgreetingsā! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh thatās true. Greetings, everyone. Thatās better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the thatās better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

OVERFLOW - SHARON
Kano
Do you have a sweet tooth, Sir Baron?
[lightly teasing again, BUT. she has finished the tea and is bringing the warmed kettle over with a small cup!]
no subject
[ Sometimes you enjoy the crunch. Does nobody eat plain raw sugar? no? okay. ]
I'm, like, not too picky about things, so you don't have to try so hard to make things delicious! Oh, oh, butā if you're like one of those chefs who can make people cry with their food, I want to try that!
no subject
[KANO YOU ARE A MESS]
And I'm afraid I've never made anyone cry with my cooking, and I don't wish to begin. As for you not being very picky-- well.
I feel as though I have observed otherwise.
[anyway she is pouring him some tea!!]
no subject
No? They're, like, good tears! I think. I bet the Keebler elf would do it.
no subject
Perhaps. But neither of us will know until you catch it for me.

Sora
I would like to think so. Nothing would make me happier.
[BUT ENOUGH OF THAT]
Is "Kairi" a good friend of yours?
no subject
but he gets that it's not a subject to linger on so with another smile he picks up a beef skewer to answer her question.]
Yeah. She's one of my best friends. [...and it's strange to be separated from her again without knowing how he got here.] She and Riku are probably looking for me right now. It's why I have to get back as soon as I can, but only after everything in this world's okay again.
[sometimes...you realize your responsibilities are greater than your wishes. it's fine.]
no subject
What makes you think this "world" is in trouble?
no subject
[sometimes...you are so used to busting into other worlds to save them that that is your frame of reference.] That's why I want to meet the people who messaged us and hear what they have to say. If we can help them somehow, we should.
no subject
I suppose I could think of a few other reasons for us being here that have nothing to do with the "world" being in trouble.
[sllllightly sheepish]
But tthere's no point in making assumptions either way.

Jeanne
[she lifts a hand and places it against her cheek, head tilted slightly]
You seem quite kind, my lady, if your concern extends to everyone here and not just yourself.
no subject
[ Imagine being addressed as a noble when you're just some girl from the countryside. ]
Please call me Jeanne or Ruler. I'm fine with either name. I simply think it's right to be kind to as many as you can.
no subject
Oh, but it would be rude of me not to address you or anyone else with proper respect.
[still. . .! Sharon curtsies]
But very well. I will refer to you as "Miss Jeanne." You may call me Sharon.
no subject
I'm very glad to meet you, Sharon! I appreciate that you like to address people with respect, but... I think there's some merit in being addressed just as I am.
no subject
It would be equally as rude for me to ignore your preferences, and a servant such as myself should always strive to respect another's preferences.
[like. right now]

Soo-Won
[WORKAHOLICS UNITE]
no subject
No, nothing like that - it's just for the best that we all work together in this situation.
Alternating cooking, cleaning... since we're all borrowing the same inn space for the moment and all.
no subject
While that might be ideal, I have no illusions that everyone will be so quick or eager to work together.
Alex
Might I ask you to clarify? Of course, I wouldn't be offended if you refuse.
no subject
I opened my front door and someone smacked me around the head with the end of a rifle.
no subject
My. How rude of them.
no subject
Pretty rude, yeah.

[SO. . . YES]
But I promise I will refrain from teasing too much from here on out, Lady Sumire.
