WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (OVERFLOW)
WEEK ZERO: ARRIVAL (43 remain) Whatever each character was doing—chatting with friends, going to bed, saving the world—ceases. In fact, it's likely nothing more than a groggy memory now, as they open their eyes to unfamiliar surroundings. Apparently, they took a nap right in the middle of a small town, plopped outside on the paved road. Ow? Oh, but it looks like they've been given a goodie bag. Everyone likes gifts, right? Inside, it contains:
- packets of tea - one unlabeled pill - a rock that resembles the galaxy - if they're of age, a mini bottle of alcohol; if they're underage, a can of Mountain D*w Baja Blast instead - a singular condom - a single random one of these pillows (how did this fit?) - a handheld device Should they boot up the device, the screen helpfully informs them that it's a Participant Help System (PHS). Not much on it, but it does have a few apps, including a memo one for taking notes. There's also a messaging system, though it's only capable of receiving messages, not sending any. As a matter of fact, there's an alert for a new message already. Maybe it'll explain what's going on. Good evening, everyone. Uh, how are we sure they’re arriving in the evening? Just say “hello”! Or “greetings”! Greetings is fancy, right? Oh that’s true. Greetings, everyone. That’s better? Yes! Except maybe we take out the that’s better part in the final version. Will do! Er, what? Unfortunately, it seems as though that's the only info they're given for now. In the meantime, why not explore the surrounding area? A number of buildings are locked, and the Planetarium appears to be closed, but there's enough to keep the characters occupied for a day or two. They might even want to get to know their fellow "participants" better, while they're at it. |

[a polite curtsy!]
What may I call you?
no subject
[ they seem uncertain what to do about her curtsy ]
no subject
Very well, then. You may call me Sharon.
[folds her hands politely in front of herself]
And if there is anything with which you may need my assistance, I would be happy to help. ♥
no subject
[ bewildered. ]
We're here to assist you.
no subject
[she says politely and with a smile, but also--]
But you didn't even have dinner prepared for us when we arrived. Perhaps you need assistance in assisting us?
no subject
[ wow? ]
no subject
But perhaps a readily prepared meal would have gone a long ways towards softening the blow of our "not-quite-a-kidnapping."
[she. is teasing]
no subject
[ maybe it's less sheepish and more tired. ]
no subject
Might I ask about these complications?
no subject
Ask Goat when you see them.
[ wolf, don't throw others under the bus. ]
no subject
And when might Master Goat make their appearance, Master Wolf?
no subject
[
or is it that they didn't pay attention ]
no subject
[Y'ALL NEED A SECRETARY]
I see. I suppose I will simply wait for their arrival with baited breath, then.
[SHE TEASES MORE]
[but anyway]
What is it you do know, Master Wolf?
no subject
Why you were brought here. That seems to be the most popular question right now.
[ they sound ... tired. ]
no subject
Then I'll spare you from asking it myself.
What do you believe is the most important question that nobody is asking?
no subject
[ dryly. ]
no subject
[watching them, gauging their reaction]
no subject
Between all three of us, maybe. But my priorities might not be the same as the rest of yours. If an answer is important to you, ask the question.
no subject
What are your priorities, Master Wolf?
no subject
[ somehow both vague and straightforward? ]
no subject
And if your job is to assist us, then you wish for us to do our part as quickly as possible, too. Am I correct in making that assumption?
no subject
no subject
Whatever it takes?
no subject
Let's not go that far.
[ that people have asked if murder will be involved is making them a little wary to just go ahead with a yes there. ]
no subject
I'm relieved to hear that. You can understand why I asked, yes?
