WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

A. Showers????

[ If you happen to be in the hall when Clementine exits her room, you will notice that she is no longer covered in blood and dirt! Wow! She seems just as amazed as you probably are. (Shouldn't she have bathed in the last 3 days? Uhhhh, don't worry about it. And definitely don't think about how long it had been since she bathed before this.) ]

There's running water! Like - hot running water!

[ She looks 100% happier than she did during the intro mingle. Like, she thought the whole 'food' part of the deal was amazing, but they also get to be clean! And to think, she was ready to murder their hosts literally like 2 days ago! ]

B. Planetarium

[ Later in the day, Clem can be found in the planetarium! Except she's like... Standing against the wall by the door, so it's very possible to walk inside and past her without even noticing her in the dark. Sorry if she startles you when she speaks up! ]

Want to make up constellations? I don't know many real ones.

C. Wildcard

[ Clem likes to patrol, so she can be found pretty much anywhere while she's out and about being paranoid. She definitely seems less trigger happy this week! Please feel free to throw anything at me, and I am open to PCs, etc! ]

[ sipping her coffee, looking absolutely amused. she's got a towel wrapped around her head, on her way back to her room. ]

There sure is, pumpkin. [ a beat. ] I hope you steamed the whole room up. The only proper way to take a hot shower is to make your roommate suffer through a sauna.

[ the nickname gives her very brief pause, but it's. fine. she lets out a little snort of amusement at the idea. ]

[ and Alphinaud seems too nice to pick on like that. So far. ]

[ she sips her coffee. poor claude and laine have to put up with this. ] Have you eaten?

[ izumo will definitely be startled thanks!! she won't scream but she will take a few steps sideways and stumble. ]

He does stop, though, and turn to glance back, offering her a small smile.]

[ that's fine, she wasn't really trying to startle anyone. she just didn't really think to announce herself earlier and likes Safe Spots. so she smiles back. ]

Yeah. Did you memorize everyone's names?

[ his offer is exciting, but she's distracted because that's so many people ]

I like to read, and none of my favorite books came with me.

[He motions for her to follow him a bit more in so they can stand under the middle of the ceiling and look up.]

[Yona does not, in fact, spot Clem as she walks through the door - and so she nearly jumps a whole foot in the air when she suddenly speaks up.]

[ ... or so she says, but she laughs a little bit. ]

[it could be worse! yona puts a hand over her heart to try to calm down. phew.]

[ usagi is once again startled out of her poor pigtails because she has the spacial awareness of a gnat. also because i think it's funny.

[ poor skittish bunny... but her reaction startles Clementine, so - good. now they're both startled. ]

Oh! Uh, are you okay?

[ clutches her chest like a stressed bun ]

My heart can't take much more of this. Everyone is too sneaky..!

[ alyssa is visibly surprised when clem speaks up, but hey, she doesn't have a knife this time! she's also a lot more relaxed in general, so she smiles at the younger girl once the initial shock goes down. ]

Sounds like a fun way to pass the time to me! How do you want to do this?

[ haha. oops. Clem is rude and doesn't apologize for startling her though, because she didn't yell about it. ]

Hmm. I figured we could just take turns pointing something out and naming it.

[ astronomy wasn't something he ever learned in fire nation school (tm), so zuko snow also knows nothing. ]

[She is going to make a sound, spin around — and pretend she was not startled at all despite the fact that she's pressing a hand against her chest. Be still, her heart... That sneakiness was truly admirable.]

Huh? Oh, um... Yes! I don't know many of the real ones myself. [Inclining her head a little, in direction of the stars.] Would you like to go first?

[ that is. a cute reaction? Clementine lets out a quiet pfft but holds back on actually laughing. ]

Hmm. Sure. [ she moves away from the wall, and after a moment raises up her arm to point at a cluster of stars. ] Over there looks like a rabbit.

Eh... what's the big deal?

[ Hot running water... what life were you living with before. If she's this excited about running water, Kano can't even make any fun turning on other faucets in hopes it shuts off the hot water, Clementine might just be excited for running water, period. ]

[ Hm, she's a little self conscious. Isn't anyone else excited for hot water...? ]

It's pretty rare, where I'm from.

[ She would absolutely be ecstatic about cold water, still. Not every settlement has generators, let alone the resources to keep them running. So electricity and running water are luxuries. And Clem avoids most settlements anyway, so this is all just very miraculous to her. ]
