Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up.

The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and new buildings within the town have been unlocked. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Cater, Sharon, and Kano's profiles have been removed.

Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel.

Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. If you break the current ninth rule, participants will get shocked. It will be a mild shock at first, but the longer they touch each other, the stronger it will get. On that note, if your character did not share a memory last week, please make sure to check your notifs!

Participants may also find that their memories of the past few weeks are getting fuzzier... as though they can't recall some of the details without focusing.

Finally, this week, every time a participant gets within one foot of someone, they will experience the emotions the other person is currently feeling and vice-versa. This will last for ten seconds even after they've stepped out of their personal bubble, after which the sharing itself might share, but the knowledge will not. Have fun!

[ The pub itself is a little on fire, and skeletons are going around throwing glasses everywhere and drinking the booze while loudly cackling. Some barmaids are cowering in a corner. Tables are upended over.

Most importantly, for some reason, a baby is crawling around on top of the shelves of the bar. Who brought a baby here. ]

[Chiron was going to say something pragmatic about not underestimating opponents because that's a good way to get killed, guys, and also yes Soo-Won will have immediate sword rights once he gets his hands on one of the skeletons--

But then there's just

a baby

And frankly you will have never seen a centaur sprint so fuckin fast trying to gently scoop up an infant.]

Little one, this is not the place--

[Y'all on your own for a moment, guys!!]

[oh my god.

He's going for the baby, there he goes.

Which, like. Fair? That's fair. Ange watches him go, shakes her head, and then one of the barmaids shrieks when a skeleton gets closer and Ange heads that way even though she has no weapons and no idea what she is doing, presumably.]

Hey, leave them alone...!

[ange no]

[there he went. there he goes. but soo-won is just going to follow after ange and turn to mob - ]

Shigeo, don't go too far from us. Archer should be able to handle himself and... the baby.

[but he's ready to sort of just kick a table into a skeleton if it comes to that, he's mostly here to make sure that the children don't get stabbed while chiron starts horse daddy daycare]

[He nods, but he doesn’t really get it? At all? He has faced so many dead monsters like they’re mosquitos so it doesn’t register to him to be intimidated.

Just looking at one of the skeletons that are close by.]

Excuse me. Can you cut that out?
People are trying to enjoy their meals in here.

[ The baby, upon hearing Chiron approaches, giggles and waves. Then it continues merrily on its way, directly towards broken glass. Unfortunately for Chiron, a piece of wood from the ceiling chooses this exact moment to fall in front of him because of the fire, blocking his immediate path to the baby. Also now the baby is at risk of fire debris, so that's cool.

The skeletons do not seem intimidated by Ange, though they do turn to her. They cackle, a sound that reverberates mostly through their skeleton teeth, and approach her, swords at the ready. Fortunately for her, Soo-Won is ready to kick a table at them, and since they somehow missed the blonde twink in the room, that is exactly what happens. The skeletons go "nyeh!" as they are crushed.

The skeleton hailed by Mob turns around. ]

Oh, are we bothering people? I had no idea! You're right. That is simply terrible. I'll go back to my ship.

[ the singular skeleton proceeds to do just that!

also, it grabs mob on the way to do that as it walks out. ]

[HIS CHILD???

The thing is Chiron fully expects Won to be able to keep the other two in line and safe. Thus he is 100% engrossed in rescuing the infant and would be swearing up a storm if he was that type of character. Just say "fuck", Chiron, no one's listening.

Since there's now a burning piece of wood in front of him, Chiron looks at his options: can he get around the fire at all, or is it completely blocking his path? If he can, he will just jump straight over the mess, fuck the bar and if he can fit, he's a centaur and does what he wants!!

But assuming that is not an option, he will fall back on trying to kick some of the mess aside with his hooves -- not at the baby!! But a centaur is desperate to the kid.]

[i love Chiron.

Anyway Ange is mostly distracted by the poor barmaids since Soo-won seems to have everything under control. Did she even notice the skeletons were menacing her with swords? Up for debate.

Either way, she rushes over to them.]

We'll try to clear out this place so you can stay here safely. [Since, uh. Can they even evacuate them out of the pirate area? She has no idea.

...Anyway, she turns around just to see Mob get snagged and, usefully, points and squeaks.]

Skeleton-napper! [helpful]

No, that's still a kidnapper, Ange.

[a gentle correction as he goes over to the skeletons that he crushed, making sure to step on the table to apply pressure and crush them further before aiming to steal one of their swords. he'll try to make sure there's no other skeletons left in the area that could give ange a hard time before he goes]

Assist the barmaids and support Archer, I'm going to go after Shigeo. Put out the fire if you can.

[because for now he's going to head on after to follow the skeleton that stole their boy!! mob didn't seem afraid so he's not that worried either, but he will pick up the pace so he can go crush another skeleton

on his way out:]

Archer, Ange's staying with you!

Thank you. I think that would be best.

[But very reasonably and politely, as the skeleton is being reasonable as well.

And then he’s grabbed. He feels so unconcerned by this.]

Did you want me to come back with you? Okay.

I've always wanted a child. And you're so polite! It'll be good for the crew.

[ the skeleton declares happily. They, uh. Are moving kind of fast for a skeleton carrying a teen. It helps that Mob is not fighting it at all. Thanks, Mob. Good luck catching up Soo-Won!!! Too bad you had to waste all that time crushing skeletons.

But the upside is that the barmaids thank Ange profusely for all her work (she didn't do anything) and urge her to go. Did she notice the skeletons brought a horrible horse monster with them? The entire pub may fall down. The barmaids will leave the bar even if she doesn't.

Meanwhile, the baby. Chiron unfortunately has to kick the debris out of the way as it is simply too high to jump over without potentially hitting the ceiling and causing it all to crumble. He does so successfully...coincidentally, part of the debris flies near where the baby has decided to walk over, saving it from walking straight into broken glass and fire. Yay, Chiron saved the baby from glass! The child giggles and goes "yay, horsie". Unfortunately, that means the baby is free to wander off elsewhere. It is crawling under the tables now, somehow, weaving under them like a pro ninja. Where is the baby going? And who's baby is it???? Questions without answers. ]

[Yelling back to Won without looking:]

Very well. I will look after her!

[Which results in him pausing long enough to glance over his shoulder, ready to shoot a skeleton's head off if he must, but all he sees are the barmaids praising Ange for being perfect so he sees nothing wrong here. Back to baby.

-- Who is thankfully not stepping on glass? Hurray! But now is just power-walking through the burning bar, I'm crying. Chiron does not miss this part of parenting.]

Miss Ange! Your assistance please! They're under the tables now!

[He's going to chase after too, but you know what he is? Too Fuckin Tall. At best he can just lift the tables for Ange.]

[WHY IS THE BABY A PRO NINJA.

Anyway the barmaids' effusive praise does make Ange blush, because she is a useless lesbian. But Chiron's words get her to snap back to herself.]

[She can trust Mob to Soo-won (maybe), so she immediately dives under the tables to try to intercept and scoop up the ninja baby.]

[That sounds fine. I mean, he already has parents, but at least this skeleton sounds nice. So yeah I don’t know if he’s being carried or what but he’s not fighting at all.]

Sure. But everyone needs to stop starting fires and breaking things. That’s really going to make people scared.

Also, are Rabbit and Fox back there?

The point is intimidation. If they're scared, they're less likely to fight back and get hurt! We're very nice like that. Also, I don't know who you're talking about.

[ in the distance, mob may see wolf tackle a skeleton to the ground. also he's absolutely being carried like a potato sack over the skelly's shoulder.

Soo-Won can use Gulfan but dana isn't here so maybe he does not? Mysterious.

Meanwhile, the baby thinks this is a fun game, and everytime Chiron lifts a table, it giggles and darts beneath a new one. Yay! Hide and seek! For some reason, this is a very fast baby. More of the pub is coming down in firey death and debris, but the child does not seem to notice.

Outside, they may recognize the screams of the barmaids. Again. ]

[... Well. Shit.

There is no way he's going to abandon Ange and the baby together, so -- since the baby thinks this is a game, Chiron begins very pointedly picking up the tables in an order that will (hopefully) encourage the baby dart for the pub's exit, assuming the entire exit hasn't crashed down somehow]

Miss Ange, ensure the child doesn't slip behind either of us. Once we're near the doorway, we'll grab them and then assist the barmaids.

[Voice really chill for a guy who has done nothing but chase a baby around, surrounded by fire, and hearing ladies in distress. This has nothing on some of Zeus' worst temper tantrums]

[maybe they should forget the baby and do something about the fire.

But she does not say this. Instead she nods, and continues to Pursue The Baby towards the exit to go along with Chiron's plan.

This is totally fine, this will surely work]

Then, um, we'll put out the [cough] fire--right?

Well. . . it would be nicer if you didn't attack anyone at all. Couldn't you do that instead?

[Well, bye Soo-won. The ding dang skeleton just runs too fast. But it's fine. He waves when he sees Wolf.]

Wolf - I'll look for Rabbit and Fox back at their headquarters, okay?

Well, I'm not the captain, and these are the captain's orders. You get how it is! Sometimes you just need to plunder and pillage and ransack a village with nary a worry or care.

[ Wolf turns from where they're punching off a skeleton's head and makes a face.

Meanwhile, Chiron and Ange's baby pursuit seems to be working! They are secretly directing the baby to the exit! The baby starts to walk out... and is immediately nabbed by a skeleton who holds it upside down by a leg. The barmaids scream some more.

The baby goes "whee!". ]

Don't make a move or the baby gets it.

[ meanwhile, the pub is still on fire. the fire is only growing. there was alcohol here. this is dangerous they are all in fire range. ]

[Hahahaha--

Chiron's fuckin done and the moment the baby is snatched, just draws out his bow and arrow, aimed at the skeleton's head.]

And then you will certainly die.

[Everyone: Chiron what about the baby
Chiron: did I fuckin stutter?

And then frankly:]

We'll all die if we stand here, so if living is your priority, let us take this elsewhere, quickly.

[... The pub might be a lost cause at this rate. Maybe!]

[...Listen.

Ange raises her hand very carefully while all of this is going on.]

...Um, excuse me. Can I move to try to put out the fire? I promise I will not try to grab the baby or cause any damage to any skeletons such as yourselves.

[she can leave Baby to irate Chiron, she's sure.]

[he's late but it's fine.]

Hello Wolf, farewell Wolf!

[HE RUNS AHEAD - but Gulfan goes ahead of him and will try to follow after as Soo-won runs, bye. Though Mob has a point about the headquarters so once he's confirmed that Mob hasn't been beaten into a pulp he'll continue to follow after - not too far behind.

[That's a problem.]

You can't just follow whatever the Captain tells you to do. You need to think for yourself. But. . . maybe you could bring me to the Captain, and I could talk to him?

You know, I reckon I don't rightly know where he is? Think he was going to go see that Commodore fellow. Heard a rumor they used to be lovers before the Captain left for the sea after the Commodore took up his post to follow in the family line. We attack the town every year, but I think it's just an excuse so the Captain can see him again. Very tragic stuff.

[ They are heading over to the port, where a widdle boat awaits. The skeleton gently deposits Mob in it and prepares itself to row out to the pirate ship.

Soo-Won, meanwhile, is fighting off a veritable army of easily disposable skeletons as he follows and can choose to steal a barge for himself to continue following or just, like. Stop them.

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE PUB THIS THREAD IS NAMED FOR,

The other skeleton seems to think about both Chiron and Ange's offers, nods, and they grab everyone, baby and barmaids included, to start scuttling further away so that the pub does not collapse on all of them and/or burst into flames.

Ange is free to stay and put out the fire.

The baby, however, was being held by its boot, and wiggles happily the whole time until it slips out of his shoe. Miraculously, there was a bunch of textiles from the tailor's on the ground from the pirates stealing stuff, and so it lands uninjured with a giggle. The skeleton stares in shock as the baby takes off, nyooming.

It is going straight back for the pub, ducking under Chiron's Mighty Horse Body so that he may not catch them because he is too tall and centaur bodies are not mean for grabbing stuff under its four legs.

WHY DOES THIS BABY LOVE THE PUB SO MUCH ]
