WEEK TWO: TRIAL (35 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks. "... For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. NORTH TOWN & TAILOR SHOP

So, Sora, Taako and I looked around the north of the town, and in the tailor's shop.

[ and what larks they had ]

There was a lot of paper scattered around the town? Like flyers. They had arrows drawn on them that seemed to be pointing into town, but when we tried to follow them they just led us in circles.

Some of them had blood on the edges though, so they might've been near a fight or a body? But as a direction guide they were pretty useless.

In the tailor's shop I found some empty pill bottles in the glove section – which was empty, by the way. Someone took all but one pair of gloves. The pill bottles look like the ones for painkillers, from the first aid station? I don't know if they were taken specifically for tonight, or if someone just had them on them after Wednesday, but maybe we need to take a look?

Um... Sora found part of a broom. Just the sweeping part though, there was no handle. And that really creepy costume, with the skull mask that's been in the tailor's shop all week was just gone. So I don't know if that's significant or if someone just really took a shine to it.

That's about it, I think?

Thiiiiiink the flyers were a malicious attempt at wasting our time! Or someone else's? Like a murder victim, maybe?

Like something to keep us away from the tailor's shop? [ and the pub, apparently. ]

It didn't work very well, if that was the goal. It just delayed us a bit. So maybe it was meant for someone else?

I thought about this last night. Maybe it was like Cater's notes? Like it was meant to lead someone somewhere away from the scene of a crime. Maybe the person responsible for Raven actually noticed someone else uninvolved was around and wanted to redirect them? So they wouldn't get caught.

... It could be? Or wanted to disorient a target to get the drop on them? There was blood on the paper, so I'm guessing someone got hurt outside of the buildings.

We'd have to know more about how bad the bodies are injured first but that's totally possible. Either someone got hurt, or someone was already bleeding when they put up the signs. We found those painkillers too, so it could be the last one.

Yeah. We'll keep it in mind for when we get the body summaries?

Yeah, exactly. We just need to remember it later.

Were the gloves different sizes? It may be that all of them were taken in order to mislead us about the size of our culprit's hands and which set of gloves was actually used for the murder.

The rest are rather interesting - I wouldn't suppose someone could admit to rummaging or witnessing someone else rummaging in the first aid station? I took some medicine as well, but I still have all of them on my person.

I'd need to check. I managed to put them on to handle the pill bottles, in case there were prints on them, so I'm assuming they were the same or similar sizes? [ they couldn't have been smaller than her hands, at least. ]

I used the first aid station for wound dressing, but I didn't take any painkillers out of the first aid station with me. Archer can confirm if you like, he showed me how to stitch my leg wound and knows what we used.

Let's look into it just to be sure, regarding the gloves. As for the first aid station... we might have to work a way around that. Someone who needed painkillers maybe...?

... Well, Raven's body was found around there wasn't it? He knows how to fight, so it could be that whoever attacked him got injured?

Although it's a bit early to speculate that far. But someone might've been injured enough to need painkillers, for whatever reason.

We should probably do an item check, right? I don't know what everyone's shit can do, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if some of the effects are extremely helpful for pulling off murders.

Specifically for things we received from nova gathering? [ ... ]

It'd be useful to know what everyone can do with their items, yes. Do we want to group that in when we inevitably check for injuries?

Mm. Probably. That or do a specific item check - everyone worked in groups for the ones we had by the time of the, uh, murder, so everyone should be able to have someone to vouch for them.

[Actually--] I guess except me, because Raven is dead. Fuck.

... There wasn't anyone else in your group who could vouch for you? [ uh oh taako. ]

Um. Maybe he had the item on him and they'll find it in the body check...?

It's fine, I can just tell you what it does and it might explain the flipped tables? It gives you super strength. I would not be, uh, surprised if he used that shit.

Nothing was missing from the First Aid Station in the morning, so... If the pills came from there, someone must have borrowed them earlier in the week.

So that doesn't really help us narrow it down... [ darn. ]

I wonder what they were used for. There was nothing in them, at all.

They didn't have a particular smell to them, either?

I'm pretty sure we found a pair of gloves at the port and another at the fort's jail but that's only two sets.

Oh, really? [ hm ] We should probably check they are all from the tailor's then, but that would explain why so many pairs were missing.

It's a possibility. The style looked kind of familiar but I'll have another look.
