WEEK TWO: TRIAL
WEEK TWO: TRIAL (35 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks. "... Third time isn't the charm, as it turns out. You have nine hours. We'll help with what we can, as before." Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously. If you have any questions at any time, please let us know by pinging us on Discord! |

INVESTIGATION SUMMARIES
It would appear as though we have rather scattered evidence this week - could everyone report what you found, where you found it, the condition it was in, and whether or not you believe that your location is worth checking again?
Please also check on the condition of your evidence throughout the trial today and compare it to the findings of the body. I'd also like to suggest a weapons check sooner rather than later given the crunch we had for time previously.
Thank you for your assistance.
NORTH TOWN & TAILOR SHOP
[ and what larks they had ]
There was a lot of paper scattered around the town? Like flyers. They had arrows drawn on them that seemed to be pointing into town, but when we tried to follow them they just led us in circles.
Some of them had blood on the edges though, so they might've been near a fight or a body? But as a direction guide they were pretty useless.
In the tailor's shop I found some empty pill bottles in the glove section – which was empty, by the way. Someone took all but one pair of gloves. The pill bottles look like the ones for painkillers, from the first aid station? I don't know if they were taken specifically for tonight, or if someone just had them on them after Wednesday, but maybe we need to take a look?
Um... Sora found part of a broom. Just the sweeping part though, there was no handle. And that really creepy costume, with the skull mask that's been in the tailor's shop all week was just gone. So I don't know if that's significant or if someone just really took a shine to it.
That's about it, I think?

It didn't work very well, if that was the goal. It just delayed us a bit. So maybe it was meant for someone else?

The rest are rather interesting - I wouldn't suppose someone could admit to rummaging or witnessing someone else rummaging in the first aid station? I took some medicine as well, but I still have all of them on my person.

I used the first aid station for wound dressing, but I didn't take any painkillers out of the first aid station with me. Archer can confirm if you like, he showed me how to stitch my leg wound and knows what we used.

PUB
Everything else was a mess. Tables were overturned, and there were broken bottles and glass everywhere, like there'd been a fight. But whoever it was that killed him, they must have had a drink with him first, because there were two glasses there.

And we got a lil' rowdy, but there were certainly no tables overturned before I passed out that I remember anyway.

PORT & FORT
At the port, we found a pair of gloves on one of the boats and then we found a second pair in the fort's jail. There wasn't really anything of note about them that I could tell right away. Otherwise, everything else seemed fine to us.
I would suggest revisiting the fort. It's a large area so it's possible we might have missed something before the announcements.
no subject
But that sounds acceptable. Would anyone be interested in returning to the fort? Nothing was awry before we all went to sleep there, but I understand that's unhelpful.

I believe Izumo claimed they fit her, and the measurements of the prints have been compared to both of these two. [he nods to her and vezda.]

The bloodied pair of gloves is a bit more of an interesting find - we should see who could conceivably wear them, and whether there's any signs of strain to suggest that the fit wasn't good.

HOWLING ROSE
[A glance at Elsa and HC, like. Please correct her if she hecks up.]
There was a splatter of blood on the deck, and I think— [Cutting herself off to swallow, like she's nauseous. She continues after taking a deep, deep breath.] There were pieces of bone and brain matter mixed in. As if someone fell from a great height, and hit their head. I looked up to see what parts of the boat were nearby, but nothing stuck out to me. From the splatter, there was a trail as if Brick-san's body was dragged to the cannon? We noticed a set of bloody footprints moving away from the splatter, to the exit. I noticed some rope was missing from the cargo downstairs as well, but nothing else.

.... thank you, Yoshizawa. Could we return to the ship and climb atop the masts and see if there are any hints higher up?

Nothing seemed amiss, the night before. But you could say that of every Thursday night we've had so far - even if he seemed so set on figuring out some means of solving this.
