Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating:

This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM.

Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them.

Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks.

"... Third time isn't the charm, as it turns out. You have nine hours. We'll help with what we can, as before."

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9pm EST/6pm PST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

[Time to go touch'a the body! Chiron is gonna pull off the sheet and do his usual general check -- is there anything immediately amiss that would steal his attention on a first glance from head to toe?

Laine is wearing this! Because it's very important to Hydok that you all be reminded that Laine is a space pirate and, unfortunately, died in pirate week.

Aside from that, he's missing an eye! ... Both eyes! Maybe. You'd have to check under his eyepatch to be sure of that, but his non-eyepatch eye socket is gored. ]

[Hydok is valid, Laine deserves to be honored during this holy week of piracy.

And I meant fresh gloves!! Though I wish Chiron was degenerate enough to just reuse shit.

... Yeah tho there being a gored eye means he will start at the top of the head. How nice. Chiron will gently peel back the eyepatch to make sure how many eyes he's working with (haaaa), and also more closely examine the wound.

... I'm so sorry for anyone who doesn't like eye gore. He'll be checking to see if the surrounding area is also wounded? like was only the eye gored or did whatever cause the damage also hit like, the bone socket?]

[ Chiron is working with... no eyes. Laine does not have an eye behind that eyepatch, but it's healed over, at least. There's some sort of scifi implant in there, though.

Pretty much everything in that (non-healed over) eye socket is destroyed, as far as Chiron can see. ]

[Laine you went to death blinded by your love for Pikachu.

Well before he hyperfocuses on the eye area, Chiron will do a check of the rest of the head: ears, inside of the mouth, nostrils, in the hair, the neck, and also the back of the head to see if there's anything incriminating.]

[ Nothing in the ears, inside of the mouth, nostrils, or neck! The back of Laine's hair is probably bloody, though, because there sure is a nasty, bloody wound on the back of his head. ]

[HM.

Well he will is gonna attempt to see the shape of the wound, pushing the hair out of the way as much as possible.

... He's looking to see if it's a wound a bullet would make, no point in being coy.]

[ It's possible? It's also possible that it's not. The wound in general is very Bad, from what I have been told. ]

[You know it's bad when the B is capitalized.

Though given it is Bad, Chiron will try and check to see how large the wound is from the back, if there is any discernible shape, or if it is just a Mess.]

[ It doesn't look like a stab wound or anything, but it's pretty messy. I'll be nice and say that it looks more like an exit wound than an entry wound. ]

Chiron has more or less made his assumptions about that wound, so he will leave it be for now, not wanting to disturb the wound further until they get more evidence.

Time to examine the clothes then! Any pockets to rob? Any rips or holes? He will be checking the front side first, though will also flip the body to check the back, too.]

[ Chiron, the corpse looter, obtains from Laine's pockets: a space police badge, a doll (a girl with short blond hair, wearing a space police uniform), and also probably his PHS I assume.

Nothing seems out of place on his front! But when Chiron flips his over, there's blood and a tear in his clothes around the middle of his back. ]

[Chiron, the wise, kind sage: My shit now, motherfuckers.

And first things first, how large is that tear in the middle of the back? Like is the clothing generously ripped, or is it smaller in size? Chiron will be yeeting clothing off in a second, but might as well check for details first]

[ It's smaller in size. Like something might have injured Laine and would have had to go through his clothes to draw blood, and thus we have blood. ]

[WHELP in that case...

Sorry Laine but you're about to be butt-ass naked. All the clothes are coming off because it's not a lady he's checking and thus modesty is a privilege of the living.

Upon doing that (and assuming limbs didn't come flying off as Chiron undressed him), Chiron will lay Laine on his chest so he can look at whatever the fuck happened to his back. Is he looking at a wound?]

[ Laine is now naked! No limbs were lost in the process.

He is looking at a wound on his back, yes. Also, a few minor scars here and there, but they look older. ]

[He's gonna try to measure the size of the wound using his index finger as a ruler of sorts. Is it comparable to only being a couple of centimeters long? Or did Laine get stabbed with a huge cleaver or something.

Also on that note, how does the wound look? Is it jagged around the edges, or are the edges clean? Or heck maybe a dude got punched really hard and there's an impact crater]

[ It's a couple of centimeters.

I wish it was an impact crater, but no. It looks like a stab wound, but sort of... circular? Like (|) shape. ]

[Me @ the game: when Chiron is viciously murdered, gimme impact crater wounds.

And that is... huh. Are the circular parts of the wound like, indented into the skin? Like not only was Laine stabbed, but whatever was surrounding the blade left the indent if that makes sense.]

[ Not so much indented but also part of the injury, if that makes sense. So, like, the circular part sure is bloody too.]

Also hey Laine wtf happened, sir.

Last thing Chiron will check will just be how much blood seems to have been spilt from the wound? The clothing probably soaked up a lot of it so he'll reference against that, but did Laine very clearly bleed heavily from this stab?]

[ There's a decent amount of blood, though not as much as the nasty head wound. ]

Chiron will leave the wound for now then, going to check the entire length of Laine's arms. He's checking under the finger nails in particular, and seeing if there's any damage that's been done to the hands.]

[ His hands look fine. ]

[Time for legs + feet then. Anything out of place? Any wounds that are gonna jump out?]
