WEEK TWO: TRIAL (35 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks. "... Third time isn't the charm, as it turns out. You have nine hours. We'll help with what we can, as before." ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third trial! For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Has anybody on Archer's list of people who match checks not been scrutinized?

The list of the overlap is Claude, Shima, Shiro, and Rufus, right? I know we're thinking about it in terms of Laine's killer but what bothers me is that whoever killed Laine had to get the stuff from the tailor first. Which was next to the pub. Which is where Raven died.

Who says we don't have one killer who drugged Raven, slit his throat, left to go take care of Laine and then backtracked to do everything else? We are asleep for a while.

Mmmm. That seems like a lot of work for one person. But maybe. Maybe their team leader helped them, who knows.

Okay, how about this. Who would know painkillers and alcohol would mix and make someone sleepy on that list? Would all of them?

Look, there's one person on that list that I'm pretty sure was good friends with Raven, who Raven would've sat down to have a drink with, that knows poisons? Knows, like - chemistry, of things. At least according to his profile. Someone smart enough to make sure the murder weapon was Raven's and not something he could be implicated with.

I will say, I don't think you need like a deep scientific background to know you can drug someone with pills.

If we go by the profiles, Fujimoto-san and Archer-san know about medicine, Elric-san knows some chemistry...

You're not wrong, I do know about medicines. And it is annoying that the clues keep pointing at me.

But I didn't do it. I don't know what else I can say beyond that. Even if some of the clues fit me, it wasn't me.

...for the record, if it WAS me, I would just not answer at all. But I'm telling you it's not me.

It's not gonna be Alphonse, because he can't drink. The mug was empty. Like, that implies they drank, right?

Mm, right. I don't think it's Elric-san either, but we should at least acknowledge it before discarding it, right?

I do know about chemistry and biology, but a lot of the medicines and things here aren't like anything I've seen before. I only learned about painkiller pills when I came here, and didn't recognize that jar of medicine that was found at the pub, so I wouldn't be much help analyzing it.

But the gloves. The gloves were too small for any of them.

Who said the gloves have to be the ones from the shop? Maybe somebody just got gloves with their other outfits. Or they only needed to wear them just over their fingers and it didn't need to be a perfect fit.

Mm, but. . . the way the blood was splattered on the gloves looked like somebody was wearing them normally when they got blood on them.

I think whoever used the gun to shoot Mister Laine and whoever was wearing the gloves are different people. Maybe two people attacked him? One wearing gloves who used the makeshift spear to attack from behind and one who shot him then threw the gun into the water?

The gloves would've had to come from the tailor as well, no? And since there was a bloody glove involved in Raven's murder... Why would there be gloves in both sites, unless it was either one singular killer, or two that were working in tandem?

Laine's two wounds make me think that there were two, but I think it's plausible to assume if there were, they were aware of each other.

Unless the gloves were a part of the outfits waiting for us in our rooms and they just blend in. But otherwise, yeah, just the tailor. I think the gloves are really to throw us off about how things started and ended.

Two people working together does seem plausible though, I guess. But why?

Perhaps they were aware they're on the same team, or... perhaps one has to do it for some unknown reason, and the other is there to help them...? I'm not sure.
