WEEK TWO: TRIAL (35 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: This is your reminder to be at the Emporium by 12 PM. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Fox speaks. "... For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. THEORY SHARING

We're starting to run low on time so if anyone has any theories, let's hear them.

I want to talk about Raven's murder. We know he spent curfew with Dorothy, Raven, Sora, Taako, Lup, Alyssa, and Rufus. They played a drinking game together.

We think he might have been drugged with medicine to be easier to subdue. If we're certain the gloves were related to Raven's killing then that leaves Jeanne, Alyssa, Yoshizawa, Sora, Izumo, and Ange.

Between the lists, there are two names that overlap. We know Sora only had juice and I don't think he'd let anyone too young drink.

As some of you may know, Raven became "Schwann" this week. Instead of thinking of them as two totally different people, think of them as two sides of the same person. If you do, then remember that Raven was fond of women. It's possible he might have let his guard down even more after a few drinks.

If Alyssa or anyone has something they want to say, I'd like to hear it.

Why just her, though, like you know people can walk from other locations to the pub, right. I don't know if that narrows anything down.

Could you remind us who initiated the drinking game the night before, Lup? Just before you all slept.

Did Schwann partake?

Right, people can move around and we know based on all of the glove locations that they definitely got around. If we have any other ideas, we need to hear them now.

We're under the impression that Alyssa wouldn't have been able to hold her own against Schwann in a fight, correct? Thus she would've had to resort to incapacitating him either with drugs or some combination of alcohol and medicine.

Should we check her fingerprints against the bottle of medicine found?

Before we begin... How many fingerprints are we able to take?

I think whoever killed Raven left the signs around town. Just, uh, in terms of locations, they wouldn't have had to go that far. So, looking for more of a troll, if you ask me.

Under that same logic, wouldn't Jeanne be a suspect too? I know someone else mentioned keeping an eye on her earlier, too. She even came up in a few checks last week—not all of them, but enough to be noticeable. Besides, I hadn't even spoken to Raven before or after he the whole Schwann thing happened—I didn't know that detail about him being a womanizer.

But if you already have an idea in your head, enough to call me out and point fingers at me, then me saying anything wouldn't really change anything, right?

Laine's death, I think, can be narrowed down to Claude, Shima, Shiro and Rufus, due to the footprints. We also can't rule out Vezda, whose footprint was down a size from the ones we found. I also think that pirate costume that was discarded was also involved, since it happens to fit those four suspects.

It also makes sense for those five subjects to be suspects, because three of them, Vezda, Shiro and Rufus, have marksmanship as noted skills. While a gun could be used by an amateur, this was done from a yard away, at eye level, in the dark against someone who may not have been standing still. Plus, I think all five could have the strength to stuff Laine's body down the cannon.

I think we should just focus on those five, especially, for further evidence. No offense to any of them.

They also have to be strong enough to put the body in the cannon, right? I guess all of them are technically big enough.

I think you're right on narrowing it down. I didn't see any wounds on Chad, but like... he could've healed himself. Did we ever find a gun?

Actually, I just had a thought. Rufus was drunk from the drinking game, yeah? So would he even be able to shoot straight while drunk?

Um. We still don't really know who stabbed Brick-san, or why. Did that happen after he got shot. . . ?

Yeah, I had a feeling I'd come under fire.

Search me and my things as much as you want. I didn't do it, so the quicker we knock me off the board, the faster we'll find the real culprit.

I know it's just my word but I don't know how to use a gun. I'd never even seen a gun until I came here.

[ Once AGAIN, he has to push down the urge to outright accuse Claude of all crimes committed. Because Xie Lian keeps looking at him with big sad eyes, and Hansa was not incorrect about the googly eyes. ]

Nothing was reported to me after we checked injuries, and I didn't see anything that would match the tears on the costume itself. But that doesn't rule it out, since numerous people have brought up the possibility of healed injuries.

I do think you're on the right track, though, in narrowing it down. [ Full offense to one of them, but, again, behaving. ]

If only we knew what made that wound on Laine's back...it doesn't make sense to stab someone after you shot them in the head, so it was probably from the initial attack, right?

Has anybody on Archer's list of people who match checks not been scrutinized?

The list of the overlap is Claude, Shima, Shiro, and Rufus, right? I know we're thinking about it in terms of Laine's killer but what bothers me is that whoever killed Laine had to get the stuff from the tailor first. Which was next to the pub. Which is where Raven died.

Who says we don't have one killer who drugged Raven, slit his throat, left to go take care of Laine and then backtracked to do everything else? We are asleep for a while.

Two Murder Suspects

[Ugh. Talking directly to Claude for this one, but feel free to overhear.]

I know we don't know whether there's one murderer or two for sure. But we know that there's some evidence, like the costume and the footprints, that seems like a bigger person.

And some, like the gloves, that seems like a smaller person. I really think, if it was two people. . . it seems likely that the person who killed Raven-san was the smaller one who wore the gloves, right?

Because the gloves had blood on them, and Brick-san was killed with a gun. I know he also had that stab in his back, but. . . even that could've been from a distance.

So if we're fingerprinting things related to Raven-san's death, we should focus on someone who'd fit the gloves. And things related to Brick-san's death, we should focus on someone who would fit the footprints and costume.

Is that right?

I agree. Uh, Raven was drugged - I don't think he ever even got up from the chair I last saw him in when we all passed out - and someone small killed him. And tried to make themselves seem bigger by throwing around furniture and faking a scuffle.

That's the sentiment that I have, too.

[and he's going to come back with fingerprint results.]

Alyssa and Raven's prints are not on this mug. Given that we've used it a few times, we can print 8 more fingers. If we print everyone who was a best match for the gloves, there's 6 more people.
