WEEK FIVE: MINGLE
WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward. |

That is what the instructions say... I also think it sounds a little odd, but I am not sure what going off script will do in a place like this.
[It will KILL THE BIRDIES.]

Well, I believe in Japan, they sometimes boil eggs in hot spring water. It can't be much different, right?
Zuko, would you like to carry the eggs with all of those muscles you have there?
no subject
-Oof!
[ he's still got those cracked ribs, even though they're healing, so that's an ouchie. ]
... Uh.. sure.
[ at the boiling. he squints at blanca. ]
No, you can do it.
no subject
Um... I can get them...! Let us just carefully make our way to the spa.
[Please make sure she does not trip and break them all.]
no subject
Because he is going to make sure the eggs don't get dropped. Yay, he's ready for walkies.]
Be careful, Miss Ange. I'll put them in when we get there. What would the two of you like to make once we get back? Preferably something without any need of the oven.
no subject
Uh..... maybe.... an omelette?
[ that's not a fucking appetizer zuko ]
no subject
Either way, appetizers...!]
Oh...! Can we make corn pudding? And potatoes, we must have potatoes as an appetizer! Perhaps boiled...?
no subject
Mmm. Eggs and eggs, Zuko? [He's teasing. He hums at Ange's suggestions.] Appetizers are usually easy to make and compact. You can eat them with your fingers. Something to give you a little taste while you wait for the main dishes.
Like... crackers, cheese, and salami; or a vegetable tray. Stuffed mushrooms...? Salmon on cucumbers...
[Clearly, he's from modern American.]
no subject
Look, I'm not a snack expert!!
[ huffing! ]
We can do whatever you two want to do. Let's just get this over with.
no subject
But!!
Blanca says that and Ange tilts her head contemplatively. They are making their way properly to The Spa now.]
Hmmm... I have never tried most of that, but I am sure it would be delicious. If that is what you want to make, let's try!
no subject
That's all right. I think the three of us can compromise. How about this: what foods, or flavors do you enjoy most? I can think about what to help us make like that.
[That way, Zuko will know he's helping, and Ange can eat something with a familiar taste.]
no subject
Both of you can decide. It doesn't matter that much to me.
[ just huffing ]
no subject
I also love that we've stalled here, because:]
Zuko, no! We must make something that you will enjoy too! What sorts of foods do you like eating...? I think Mister Blanca's suggestion is a lovely one.
[These eggs are just sitting here in their arms.]
no subject
At the spa, he'll just casually take eggs from them to put into the water while they talk. He's careful!]
What if Miss Ange would like to taste something you enjoy from home, Zuko? You wouldn't make Miss Ange sad, would you? It doesn't have to be anything fancy.
What do you like to eat? Something sour, something spicy? Meat, or vegetables?
no subject
[ zuko's also going to put eggs in the water while he avoids looking into ange's shoujo anime eyes ]
Meat and tea is fine. Or fish and tea.
no subject
That sounds wonderful too! We can have tea... and perhaps the salmon and cucumber idea that Mister Blanca suggested before. As for meat... perhaps some sort of beef...?
[She is not well-versed in fancy appetizers.]
no subject
Now they can go back to the kitchen and work on the appetizers.]
All right. They should be fine for now. I'll send one of you back in a bit to check on them.
[The dog gives a little huff of a bark, tail wagging.]
So, fish and tea for Zuko, and beef for Miss Ange. I think we can work with that. What kind of tea do the two of you like?
no subject
[ man this is making him especially moody (sorry ange and blanca), for some reason, so he just stares into the water. ]
[ whooo iiiis that zuko i seeeeeee staring straight baaaack at meeeeee ]
[ why is my reflection someone iiii don't know ]
You two go ahead. I'll stay here until they're ready.
no subject
Ange looks puzzled, admittedly, because she can't keep up with Zuko's angsty mood swings. It's fine though.]
Um... I like nearly all tea, so I think jasmine sounds wonderful.
[...]
Are you certain, Zuko?
no subject
[Hmmm. He exchanges a perplexed glance with Ange.]
I'd rather prefer if you came back with us, Zuko. I could really use your help. Miss Ange will have to read things out for me.
They should be okay. I'll send you back in a bit to check on them for us, all right?
no subject
It shouldn't take too long. Just go ahead, I'll join you later.
no subject
If you are sure... I will look forward to you joining us again soon!
Mister Blanca, let us get started on the other things we'll need to make until he joins us again.
no subject
He also still wishes Zuko would stop sulking and come with them, but it's fine. He's use to letting teenagers brood.]
Okay. Well, Miss Ange. It looks like it's you and me.
[He offers her his elbow so he can lead them back to the kitchen.
Only to find out the oven is still being hogged.]
no subject
no subject
Anyway, Ange... looks a bit at a loss since the oven is still being hogged.]
Where do we even begin...?
