WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

OMINOUS JINGLING IN THE DISTANCE [1/4]

[ you know the drill on thursdays. well, maybe it doesn't usually start with the sound of... little jingling bell chimes? the sound slowly draws closer. closer...

until clementine appears on the bridge. her footsteps drag with the weight of her own body, with the built-up exhaustion of her whole life in each movement. but she doesn't look that roughed up. just a little cut on her cheek, still bleeding down her face.

just kidding, she's also bleeding profusely from her side. blood has stained through her... jester outfit? okay. that stain is only getting bigger as she moves. it probably doesn't help that she's also trying to shoulder a second person's weight, hoisting them up from under their shoulder... ]

[ that second person is lup!

or, well. probably is lup. it's hard to tell because she's really just covered in blood. her poor maid's outfit is slashed through the front, and punctured on the side, and it's really a wonder it's staying on at all. her hair is a mess, tangled and stained with red, and her left hand is unfortunately gushing blood where she has it pressed against her stomach. she's holding a knife? somehow.

she's trying to hold herself up, leaning heavily on clementine, but she's very pale. she looks up, and then over her shoulder, and manages: ]

[ and then her knees give out and she drops.

behind her, a tiny spinosaurus runs screaming down the bridge, followed by a weasel that makes it like a few steps out before also flopping down to the ground. ]

[ It's Thursday, so everything must be fine, right?

Jeanne looks absolutely fine, if you focus on her expression. There seems to a certain amount of calmness, a certain kind of acceptance to it, as she walks forward very purposefully, very steadily, but also very slowly, almost as that's the only thing she's thinking of.

Pay no attention to how her fancy medieval clothes look absolutely beat up and torn. Pay no attention to how messed up her hair is. Pay no attention to how she may be bruised and cut up here and there. It's kind of hard to tell if there any other injuries, if there are any at all, because she's carrying someone in her arms.

Because that's who you should be paying attention to. ]

They all need tending to. [ She sounds stable enough. ] Could someone please care for—

[ Her breathing interrupts her, but it's fine! She's fine.

Please take the person in her arms somewhere. Thank you! ]

[ The person in her arms is... Alphinaud! Hooray!

And he's barely clinging on to consciousness, though at least that seems to be from sheer exhaustion...? That might have to do with how the fancy, medieval styled robes are stained red at the chest, though, and not-so-noticeably-yet at the back due to being carried. At least that's all to worry about! Though, come close enough and you might notice his clothes reek faintly of... rot? What was this boy doing, rolling in a dumpster? Oh well.

He's here, being carried, looking like he might nod off completely at any given moment. Take this boy off of Jeanne already. ]

Chiron sees Lup and there's a look of abject panic all over his features, like he's been stabbed, but before he can even rush over to her, there is Jeanne with a body in her arms.

[Blanca? Anyone please help her and Clem while he goes to see to the boy who is barely conscious.]

We were at a castle.

[ She is more than willing to hand Alphinaud over to Chiron. Is he taking the small elf boy? ]

We've got it. Take care of Jeanne and Alphinaud. [and off he goes to scream in another direction.]

[ Hello, barely conscious boy here.

His head does at least kinda... roll from one side of the other, eyes cracked open, attempting to focus on who he's being transferred over to. But the movement also causes another sharp pain to course through him, so he grits his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut. ]

[Um? Hello? If there’s a crowd, Taako is violently elbowing his way through it and is not at all afraid to use his nails. Might want to let him through.]

[He is instantly just trying to grab Lup however he can? Hello???? Is she still alive.]

[well group one was bad. but uh. group two is somehow even worse? especially since he had spent most of today looking for two of these people which is why despite everything sora's actively bolting ahead and immediately making a beeline for lup and clementine. he assumes someone is right behind him for jeanne and alphinaud, but ahhh.

[ clementine is presumably letting taako take care of lup because. he seems like he's got this. so she brings her hand to kind of. hold over the bleeding stab wound in her side. ]

[soo-won has been a bit scarce today, but it seems like that's just not possible for this group. he presumes that taako is heading straight for lup, others for alphinaud and clementine -

and once jeanne's hands are free, soo-won will approach her and reach out to let his hands hold onto her forearms for stability - gently, seeing as he doesn't want to risk hurting her further.]

[ Well, once Jeanne's hands are free, one can see a giant bloom of red on her front!

And once she sees Soo-won and he holds onto her, she smiles a little. ]

[ There's a moment where she isn't sure who Dorothy is addressing, a lack of clarity, a lack of understanding until she figures it out. ]
