WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). Under normal circumstances he'd try to soothe the poor thing but there is a WATER DINO in the FOREST so despite knowing it's a terrible idea, he will still attempt to pick it up, making soft little sing song noises]

and then, also, the damage on the doorframe. does it splinter outwards like something too big tried to go through it, or was the splintering from just the door coming off? is the phs reader/handle still attached or is that also really damaged? ]

From the door coming off, probably. The door itself is also splintered, though. The PHS reader is fine. On the other hand, the door is not attached to the doorframe anymore, they can go in... but you'll have to describe your exact movements if you do. ]

[ There are gardens and stuff too, but off Taako wanders to the only other relevant investigation location, aka the maze.

At the entrance, he'll see signs that look like someone or something ran inside. In another game, these would probably be footprints, but they're not, so it's [generic disrupted ground] instead. ]

okay that's not at all alarming, but given that sora's taking a step into the room, he's checking first for anything attached to the door itself and the ceiling above it before he begins to walk toward the center.

and because i have gotten lazy describing it, sora does have his usual sword with him because sometimes that's just how your game model goes. what's the state of the rooms...?]

Maybe...? How big were those things supposed to get?

[ Chiron successfully soothes and captures the baby raptor, which just kind of decides Chiron is now its new horse daddy. Alex, meanwhile, digs up some bloody rags and towels from underneath the tree...! That's normal.

Al successfully subdues the mosasaurus-- just kidding, it throws him up in the air and swallows him whole. Oops. ]

[ Belatedly, the footprints looked smaller than Xie Lian's feet.

A question: how exactly are they walking? Not in terms of where they're walking, but how?

[ Up on a tower, Zuko (along with Swan and Lup) finds an arrow embedded into the wall. There's also a torn piece of cloth.

As Taako follows the Not Prints, he might note that along the way the hedge in one place seems a little disturbed. At the end of the Not Prints path, though, there's a bunch of slashes in the ground. ]

Hua Cheng is - fine. He's obviously aware of his surroundings and isn't wobbling, but his arm is still very much missing and his hair is braided over his right shoulder to hide the fact he's missing a whole fuckton of it. Also, he's wearing a very fancy dress with a very high leg slit. He doesn't seem to care much. Even if it clashes with the bandages. ]
