WEEK FIVE: INVESTIGATION (?? remain) On Friday morning at 7am, all the doors will unlock and the participants may traverse between areas again. Participants will find that, as they leave wherever they slept, everything feels... unclear? Did they see whoever they were with? They can no longer remember. Even for those who spent the night alone, they can feel that something is off. It doesn't seem as though the Leaders are around, but at this point, everyone should realize what has happened. Time to investigate. ༶•┈┈⛧┈｡o°✥✣ 　　 ✣✥°o｡┈⛧┈┈•༶ Welcome to your sixth investigation! We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6pm EST and another set at 7pm EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8pm and 9pm EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9pm EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). [I’m wheezing because Taako isn’t recently as injured so he has no excuse, but he’s still watching Zuko cart his sister around. Look, he probably dragged her here in the first place. It’s fine. This is fine?]

Personally I think we should go sleep in, but no! There’s crime to be solved, right? Lup, look at the ceiling. You’re on ceiling duty.

If Lup ignores Taako's order and looks down, however, she will see blood in front of the castle (not necessarily the entrance, just in front of [some unspecified area of the castle]. ]

We can sleep after. [ she hums. her weasel just limps along behind them. please someone pick up this poor weasel.

also she flinches because taako can never remember to not call her by her name and i'm punishing alli for forgetting

she looks up at the sky just in case an airplane is spelling out the killer's name, and then gestures to the ground. ] Oh, cool. Blood. Haven't seen any of that this week.

[ zuko's turtleduck is going to valiantly try to piggyback the weasel. this is adorable. unlike zuko himself. ]

I guess we're not going to have to go too far this time.

What the fuck. Anyway.

[Is there any sort of trail leading anywhere? Anything else on the ground? More bloody gloves? Some shoes? Feet prints?]

[ I will be nice and say that as Lup looks up at the sky, in the corner of her eyes she may have seen... things on the castle?

It's just a giant blood splatter! No trails or any other objects visible around it, although there is an imprint in the ground smack dab in the middle of the blood, and said imprint may or may not be body-shaped. ]

[evocationary]

[ things?? like what kind of things, she squints closer at the castle.

and then also swoons, nearly falling off zuko's back. ]

Will you two cut it out already?

[ he definitely thinks it's a bit. also zuko is covered in soot so enjoy that lup. he's a dirty boy. ]

[ anyway zuko will examine the blood in more detail while lup looks at things ]

It isn’t a bit! Jeez! And hold onto her tighter already.

[Jeez! Looking at the . . . imprint, then. How big a body shape. How tall.]

[ Lup will see areas of red that may or may not be blood on lower spires (but who knows, it could just be ketchup), and something higher up on a tower that's hard to make out.

Zuko examines the blood in more detail but finds nothing because the last tag was all the details we had to give, unfortunately.

The imprint is on the smaller side, relatively speaking. ]

[ she sounds a little dizzy, actually: ] Definitely not a bit.

[ ... ] Uh, there's - something on the castle? Possibly could be nail polish, but we should make sure.

... Zuko, when is the last time you showered.

... Either of you have a flying animal?

[Gently removing the fur stole he’s been wearing from around his neck - the mongoose who seems a little irritated to have been woken up - holding it up under the elbows. Like a child holds a kitty cat. It doesn’t seem too bothered by this.]

Mm. Nope! No mongoose wings.

[Going over to check out the tower? Is it climbable? Are there stairs inside we’ve just missed.]

[ There are no stairs, but it looks like it's possible for someone to theoretically scale the castle walls if they're good at climbing. ]

lup's weasel is asleep on the turtleduck's back. ]

Nope. Can yours fly? Or - do, uh - can we just yell for Swan? [ or climb this castle ig, she... can attempt it. ]

I have rope.

[ i personally think it would be hilarious to make zuko climb when he's injured but ]

[Is this. A good idea. Also, I guess I’m cheating a little, but I see Maze in the title of the thread and before we get distracted with this. Can he see anything if he goes over to the entrance of it. I’m a little confused about where we are, I know we’re outside the Pink Castle but there’s gardens and stuff too, right?]

Oh, good, you're not falling off a high building.

[ There are gardens and stuff too, but off Taako wanders to the only other relevant investigation location, aka the maze.

At the entrance, he'll see signs that look like someone or something ran inside. In another game, these would probably be footprints, but they're not, so it's [generic disrupted ground] instead. ]

Hey, Swan. [ ... she swoons and falls off zuko's back for reals this time.

from the ground: ] Ow. Do you see the, uh - the thing up there? Can you get it? Or do we have to try to climb up there, please say no, I have two hit points.

[ he's bending down to pick her up again, with a wince! ]

If you can't grab it, you can take me up there. I'll get it.

[ they'll grab zuko who is holding lup and. go straight up there. wherever it is im not reading anything. woosh. ]

[ Up on a tower, Zuko (along with Swan and Lup) finds an arrow embedded into the wall. There's also a torn piece of cloth.

As Taako follows the Not Prints, he might note that along the way the hedge in one place seems a little disturbed. At the end of the Not Prints path, though, there's a bunch of slashes in the ground. ]

[ the mod tag left lup on the ground which means lup falls and dies

no she pulls herself up to her feet and goes to follow after taako because she gets nervous if he's out of her sight for too long. ]
