WEEK SIX: TRIAL (22 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: Please go to the Emporium at 12. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Wolf speaks. "Nine hours. For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. [ As soon as it becomes apparent who's missing, Jeanne - noticeably falters. Her knees give, and she holds onto her standard as if it's a lifeline. It takes a moment, a beat longer than it should for her perhaps, before she brings herself back to her feet and straightens.

She's fine.

She taps her standard against the floor and clears her throat. Her voice is calm, carefully so. Her expression is blank, carefully so. ]

If you could all tell us if you found anything last night, that would be appreciated. There is much ground to cover, and - Soo-won to find, it seems. We all know what we must do today, and I hope we can finish this well.

[ Alphinaud nods once, stepping forth. ]

Together with Claude, I had taken a look along the boardwalk where the stalls are set, and immediately upon our arrival was the utter mess of the place obvious. 'Tis as if the force of a storm blew through... Indeed, I could be convinced it had, for I can think of little other reason why the ferris wheel had fallen upon some of the stalls, or whom else plowed through the area in whole.

But I digress. Allow me to recite our findings in the order they occurred: As Claude discovered a sword within a pile of stuffed animals, I had found a shield deeply embedded within the walls of a stall—both can be found with the evidence. I trust we will, as usual, discuss who could have owned such a weapon. There is also the matter of the snake, in which Claude deemed of import to turn in with the rest of our findings. [ For some reason. It's just a snake. ] Worry not—it is dead.

Anyroad, within another stall was another wedding reservation left behind; on it, Dorothy and Xie Lian's names are penned. [ And should they be around, Alphinaud will look up in their directions. ] Should either of you have an explanation for why that may be, doubtless so I am far from the only one who would wish to hear it. In this same stall, a target had been shot at with a firearm—something I know can be hard to come by within the Realm. I propose we name those who own any of these weapons, and, if at all possible, compare the bullet found to the ones available to us. You may find it with the rest of the evidence, as well.

[ a beat, then: ]

—Ere you wonder, we attempted to look within the ferris wheel for aught else. Though we had not, I will mention that mine own weight was enough to risk toppling it over. [ So, a hint to the rest of you who wanna give that a shot! ] Take that as you will.

...The sword is Won's. He had it with him at curfew. The shield is Ochako's.

[ well. it's bucky's, but it's ochako's. ]

... Hm. Though that would make Soo-Won rather suspicious, he is currently missing, correct? There were no signs of it being used to injure, but—there had to be a reason for its presence.

Thank you, Alphinaud. I suspect we'll need to take a closer look at everything you two found. That there was a snake that was found does strike me as odd. There was easy access to guns a couple weeks ago, however, so I don't know how easy it will pinpoint someone with that.

The only one I know who keeps a snake as a friend is Zuko, and he told me had both with him.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

I know there are items that can turn others into animals, but... I won't jump to conclusions so soon.

I know that when I picked up mine towards the end of that week, just about everything else had already been cleaned out. I wouldn't doubt that a decent number of us might have had them in their possession.

[ that or someone's hoarding them all like some sort of gun dragon. ]

You—you think someone would use an item in that way? ... I suppose it would make going through with a murder easier, but...

Perhaps Soo-won could be in the ferris wheel, especially if it's difficult to climb...?

[ a beat, and then, he scratches his cheek. ] I will confess - I don't really know about the RSVP, either. If I can figure out what has happened, that may help to narrow down to whom it might belong.

...That being said, I haven't been feeling particularly different today, yet...? I did want to see Miss Dorothy last night, but she is my friend, and I like to see her often.

[ he gives a bow, fist pressed to his hand. ] But, please, if you have questions to ask me, you have my full cooperation - if there is anything at all I can do to help, I want to.

[ Dorothy shakes her head, from where she's chilling close to him. ]

Sorry, I haven't the foggiest who would have put our names either or for what purpose.

Sora-kun and I explored the beach. I found an arrow like the one Chiron-san uses in the sand. There was a dolphin who wanted company nearby who was holding a gun. .......luckily neither of us were injured when Sora-kun went to get it.

We also found blood and strange prints heading to the boardwalk.

I am relieved you both were not hurt.

Were they arrows he made, or were they arrows like that could be found in the ruins from a few weeks ago? Also, what kind of strange prints?

I think it’s the ones from the ruins. They were [ sorry horse dad ] much nicer.

But the prints weren’t shoe shaped and as far as I know, they weren’t hoof shaped... [ she puffs her cheeks ] I don’t know what other animal they could have been.

Boardwalk (rides)

Weeee went to the theme park bit of the boardwalk. I think the big thing is the Ferris wheel was gone? It was just gone.

Um, then next, there was an empty bottle of painkillers near the front of the rollercoaster.

On the carousel there was some bits of a . . . gun? Like, the barrel and the gun sight. I’m Fantasy, so I’m not sure I should know what those are, but we’re going with it.

We had a lot of fun in the funhouse, and then outside the House of Mirrors there was a velociraptor in a kitty cat suit, lookin’ pretty sad. Inside a bunch of mirrors where all damaged, and some were shot. There was some blood splatter on the floor and a PHS.

Theeeen we found the body - er, Ochako’s body on the roof.

[ ochako... she looks pretty sad about this but such is life in murder games. ]

Um... I guess the other group found the ferris wheel? That sounds like Ochako's dinosaur, and her shield was over at the boardwalk too, so I think we can safely connect those scenes, yeah?

Maybe. Seems like it was a busy place, considering.

[ xie lian turns around and pulls his straw hat with one hand, so anyone can look inside - in the big space of the hat, there is the velociraptor, which is chilling in a nap pile with xie lian's ankylosaurus. it's still in its kigu! ]

Kyoneko has been with me since yesterday.

I'm afraid my knowledge of guns is a bit lacking, too, but it seems someone or multiple someones decided to employ them.

It seems the Boardwalk was a well-traveled place when we were all asleep.

[ She closes her eyes briefly at the mention of Ochako. ]

... I hope it was at least quick for Ochako.

BEACH.......2!

Ruby and I were on the other end of the beach. There were footprints, as well as numerous pieces of evidence from gunfire, bullets, and and some part of a gun - and an intact gun, hidden in a sand castle. I don't think much of that remains, but it was a rather tall sand castle, from what I could make out before Ruby found the gun in it.

[ There's a beat, because he saved this part so that people might brace themselves. ]

What I'm going to guess was Chiron's golden bow was at the shoreline in the surf, and a PHS was a little further out in the actual water. If not for the waves disturbing where Chiron was, much further out, I don't think we would have found him, and Goat was able to help us bring him back.

... If it is golden, that is his, yes. Thank you for finding it and him.

[ Haha wow, Jeanne really does not like this. She closes her eyes for a brief moment before moving on. ]

I wonder how hard they were trying to hide the gun, if they built a sand castle. Did you notice the size of the footprints?

Clem and I looked in the forest, and around the river. There were hoofprints on the ground that led deeper into the forest. We followed the trail, and found a lyre leaning against a tree trunk. It's Chiron's. There's nothing off about it I just... think he might've put it somewhere safe.

There were a lot of gun parts lying around as well. There were two springs in a tree, the grip down by the river, and the frame of the gun in the water itself.

That was all we found.

... I suppose I can see him doing that, but there are a lot of gun parts being left around.

If someone who knew guns better could piece all of that together, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.
