WEEK SIX: TRIAL (22 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. Hopefully you found it in you to make and eat breakfast, despite yesterday's news. At 11am, everyone will receive a message on their PHS, simply stating: Please go to the Emporium at 12. Shortly before 12pm, every participant will feel compelled to move towards the Emporium, if they aren't already there. No exceptions! Though they will have to navigate around shelves and merchandise and the like, everyone will fit neatly inside the room. Once all the participants are present and the clock strikes twelve, the doors lock behind them. Three of the Leaders are there with them: Wolf, Rabbit, and Fox. Wolf speaks. "Nine hours. For the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6pm EST, where no mod tags will occur. Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Together with Claude, I had taken a look along the boardwalk where the stalls are set, and immediately upon our arrival was the utter mess of the place obvious. 'Tis as if the force of a storm blew through... Indeed, I could be convinced it had, for I can think of little other reason why the ferris wheel had fallen upon some of the stalls, or whom else plowed through the area in whole.

But I digress. Allow me to recite our findings in the order they occurred: As Claude discovered a sword within a pile of stuffed animals, I had found a shield deeply embedded within the walls of a stall—both can be found with the evidence. I trust we will, as usual, discuss who could have owned such a weapon. There is also the matter of the snake, in which Claude deemed of import to turn in with the rest of our findings. [ For some reason. It's just a snake. ] Worry not—it is dead.

Anyroad, within another stall was another wedding reservation left behind; on it, Dorothy and Xie Lian's names are penned. [ And should they be around, Alphinaud will look up in their directions. ] Should either of you have an explanation for why that may be, doubtless so I am far from the only one who would wish to hear it. In this same stall, a target had been shot at with a firearm—something I know can be hard to come by within the Realm. I propose we name those who own any of these weapons, and, if at all possible, compare the bullet found to the ones available to us. You may find it with the rest of the evidence, as well.

[ a beat, then: ]

—Ere you wonder, we attempted to look within the ferris wheel for aught else. Though we had not, I will mention that mine own weight was enough to risk toppling it over. [ So, a hint to the rest of you who wanna give that a shot! ] Take that as you will.

...The sword is Won's. He had it with him at curfew. The shield is Ochako's.

[ well. it's bucky's, but it's ochako's. ]

... Hm. Though that would make Soo-Won rather suspicious, he is currently missing, correct? There were no signs of it being used to injure, but—there had to be a reason for its presence.

I don't think he was out to hurt anyone that night. [ she sounds pretty sure. people being armed on thursdays is... not that weird, considering. ] What sort of condition was it in when you found it?

[ how can he say it wasn't used to injure, etc ]

Someone had used it to stab through a stuffed animal, and that was it. The sword was not bloodied, nor did we find any signs of blood while searching.

And, did it look like it was stabbed through it on purpose, then hidden?

Thank you, Alphinaud. I suspect we'll need to take a closer look at everything you two found. That there was a snake that was found does strike me as odd. There was easy access to guns a couple weeks ago, however, so I don't know how easy it will pinpoint someone with that.

The only one I know who keeps a snake as a friend is Zuko, and he told me had both with him.

[ She looks thoughtful. ]

I know there are items that can turn others into animals, but... I won't jump to conclusions so soon.

I know that when I picked up mine towards the end of that week, just about everything else had already been cleaned out. I wouldn't doubt that a decent number of us might have had them in their possession.

[ that or someone's hoarding them all like some sort of gun dragon. ]

I would not be surprised if that were the case. In a place were death is expected... it is not so far to leap.

Mm. The archers among us collected quite a few arrows while we could, from the ruins. Why wouldn't the rest of us see fit to arm themselves when they had the chance?

I might, though if the calibers are relatively close to each other there wouldn't really be enough of a difference for me to tell...

What is it that you'd want for me to look for, specifically?

You—you think someone would use an item in that way? ... I suppose it would make going through with a murder easier, but...

It is an effective tactic. Depending on the animal, if you would like to make it quick, that is one way to go about it.

[ a beat, and then, he scratches his cheek. ] I will confess - I don't really know about the RSVP, either. If I can figure out what has happened, that may help to narrow down to whom it might belong.

...That being said, I haven't been feeling particularly different today, yet...? I did want to see Miss Dorothy last night, but she is my friend, and I like to see her often.

[ he gives a bow, fist pressed to his hand. ] But, please, if you have questions to ask me, you have my full cooperation - if there is anything at all I can do to help, I want to.

[ Dorothy shakes her head, from where she's chilling close to him. ]

Sorry, I haven't the foggiest who would have put our names either or for what purpose.

Maybe San Lang might have noticed something? [ he glances back towards hua cheng, gravitating in that general direction?? ]

[ Hua Cheng comes from where he's setting up the usual corner for the strip check, chest bumping into the back of Xie Lian's shoulder as he gravitates into him, too. All up in his space, like usual. ]

Nothing seemed strange as of Thursday night, but perhaps it'll be more apparent today, if it'll happen, and if Ochako wrote the note after midnight.
