WEEK ZERO: MINGLE (43 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. Speaking of new, if participants turn on their PHS, they'll notice another section available. There's also an alert for a new message, titled TEAM ASSIGNMENT. Opening it will reveal which Leader they have been assigned to. Furthermore, at the corner of the PHS screen is an icon of an animal, depending on who their Leader is. It is visible only to them and no one else. That's not the only change, though. Participants may not notice at first—or perhaps they will?—but sooner or later, they may realize that they're... missing something? Strange. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Which is to say, the Planetarium is now open! Finally, for the rest of the week, the participants will inexplicably have the urge to be physically affectionate. That person you just met days ago? Time to cuddle! This complete stranger you ran into? It sure is tempting to hold their hand. This urge can range anywhere from minor to impossible to ignore, depending on the situation. Enjoy your bonding!

(DAWN OF THE FIRST DAY no really this is probably going to happen first thing Monday morning right after meeting our cute NPCs

It's early in the morning, like, really early when Claude goes down to the lobby. As soon as he sees someone come down the stairs (or elevator) he's quick to accost them,)

Good morning! Sleep well?

(He's really chipper. Definitely a morning person kind of guy. Gross.)

I was thinking… since we're all going to be here for a while, we should get everyone together soon. Have a real feast, mingle, get to know each other.

(It takes a lot to make Claude go speechless but when he sees the lights up above, he does just that! It's too dark to really tell but his eyes are absolutely sparkling with wonder. You might notice that he's looking up intently and a quite fond smile,)

I'm not sure if the room feels larger or if the sky is smaller.

[ ah! she's a little startled. she immediately looks skeptical, nodding at his first question, but the skepticism... fades! she thinks something like that is a really nice idea. it reminds her of the kind of thing Louis does, and the way that his dumb ideas help everyone bond and relax without them even realizing. ]

Yeah? That sounds great.

(Yeah! It looks like someone gets it an Claude smiles brightly at her.)

That's because it's going to be great. (He's excited,) After everything, it'll do everyone some good to let loose and forget our troubles for a bit.

(It's definitely to help everyone bond and relax.)

There are quite a few of us here, though. It'll take some work to get things together.

[She blinks a little, suddenly accosted...!!]

That sounds...rather grand, doesn't it?

That's exactly the point. The grander, the better.

(Hear him out,)

We've been here for a few days now and there's a lot on everyone's minds. Everyone could use a break from their thoughts.

[ it is remarkable that lup is awake before noon - actually, she probably just hasn't gone to bed yet. she's like halfway down the stairs when claude accosts her and she just gives him a grumpily sleepy look. ]

Who are you again? [ lup. ]

(Look. He's hurt! Except not really.)

Claude. (Hmmm.) Need a minute?

[ given that it's one of the new places that opened up and one that she had a great interest in, izumo will be here as well. however, whether or not she notices his smile and wonder is another matter.

It's likely the sky. It's...impressive.

Of course, there's no way you could really fit the whole sky in one building. But you're right, it's quite impressive.

(And he turns his attention to Izumo,)

[someone is not entirely a morning person which means he's walking down the stairs and stretching his arms over his head, a wide yawn escaping before he's suddenly accosted.]

Whoa! [but he recognizes claude right away and despite it being early he smiles right back.] Claude, hey! You think so? [a feast...mingling and getting to know each other better...wow. a dream.] That's a great idea. There's a lot of space in the lobby and the dining room. We can make a bunch of food and let people come whenever they want.

[riegan]

(He nods,)

According to my research, we have a fair number of cooks among us. (Pointed look at Sora,) If we all work together, I'm sure we'll have a night to remember.

Well, we have the food for it.

(What is this look!!)

Exactly. We might as well make the most of it.

...whether the room is larger or the sky is smaller, it's beautiful.

[Her eyes are also sparkling. Okay, she likes this building, she's just decided.]

(He nods,)

Mhmm. Color me impressed.

I'm afraid I don't recognize some of the shapes, though. How about you?

[Who knows why the hell Claude would've talked to this kid about it? I just wanted to tag Claude. He's sort of staring back blankly.]

(Because Claude von Riegan doesn't discriminate so he's going to hit up literally everyone he can,)

Yeah. You know, plenty of food and drink for everyone. Maybe some music to lighten up the mood?

[God. Who the fuck is this chipper first thing in the morning? Taako hasn't even bothered to do his hair yet, just wandering around the lobby in a bathrobe.]

Uh-huh. Well. Catering starts at 1000 gold a head.

[ despite her own yawns while she slowly hones in on breakfast, she's still relatively bright eyed and bubbly when stopped. terrible. ]

Though it's hard to imagine the sky being smaller. Space is supposed to be infinite, and all.

[ Kano comes in- not from down the stairs, but through the front door- and he looks surprised to see Claude out there guarding the way up. It's too early. Turn off your sunshine and go back to bed, Claude. ]

Oh yikes, you're gonna have to tell me when the party is.

[ So he can avoid it. ]

[he's not trying to be rude! al's just stayed in a lot of hotels and claude just has that super smiley air of hotel staff, that's all]
