WEEK ONE: MINGLE

WEEK ONE: MINGLE (40 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Hajime, Pikachu, and Virid's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Finally, this week, the participants will find themselves drawn to one person in particular. Whoever that is, they will find themselves compelled to be close to them physically. The longer they attempt to resist this, the more compelled they will be... and the closer they will want to be, to the point that it might be emotionally and physically draining to not be holding hands or hugging them for several hours because you've ignored them too long. That's fun.

TALK TO SWAN

[retellers]

[ While in town, Swan can be found sitting on top of the roof of the inn, kicking their legs as they draw shapes with... light that seems to be coming from their hands(?), in the Penny Arcade playing Smack-A-Mole with a lot of enthusiasm. They can also be found hanging out in the control room, looking out at the stars quietly. Also, sometimes, if you blink, they will be gone, and then the next blink they'll be back.

Wherever you may see them, they'll at least greet you with a small wave, though. ]

but anyway, she catches one of their disappearing acts at some point (???), and when they next reappear, she bows back politely. ]

Hello. I suppose it's time for the three of you to meet us properly, isn't it?

[retellers]

[ They've got a drink in their hand they didn't have before, and they seem surprise that Homura's standing right there when they come back.

You can tell because they jump and go "GAH", loudly, though they manage to not spill their drink ... on themselves. some splashes to the ground ]

Um-- yep! Proper meeting. Hehe. [ a beat ] Oops. Nice to meet you.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you-? [ swan your drink ] I just meant, in person, unless you think a single message and a profile really counts...?

would it be more polite to ignore the whole drink thing or not, does she pretend this first impression is unmarred by shenanigans, how does social work, ]

[he's walking through town and it's the light that catches his eye more than anything. it takes a few moments, but give him a sec to climb up to the top of the roof before he approaches and sits down next to swan.]

That's a pretty cool trick.

[ they watch him climb up, and their drawing turn into a thumbs up. good luck, sora. ]

Even if it doesn't do anything, practicing's a good idea. I kind of wish I could do something like that.

[ the control room has just. so much star view. so much. but she waves back! ]

It's a little overwhelming, isn't it?

Hey. It's ... a lot, yeah. [ quietly, as they turn to stare at the stars again ] There's that many stars...?

[chanteuser]

It didn't look like so many from the plaza...

[ she's trying to lean closer to the glass without disturbing them, hold up. ]

But that's... all the way down there and this is right in the middle of it all.

[suddenlybees]

[ I want you to know that there's this immediate urge to reach out and boop Swan's beak but Kano will not.

He spots them on the inn's roof! And calls up to them: ]

Hey! Can I get a lift up?

[retellers]

Okay!

[ They shout back. Then there's about a split second burst of light up there before they're standing next to Kano, grabbing onto his arm and another one brings the both of them to the roof, where Swan immediately plops back down. ]

Here you go. [ they're grinning a little ]

[siblingless]

[Damn, how come Swan gets a magic pad and they don't? Smh. She waves back when Swan greets them, but...]

Wow...! [She's so easily entranced.] Can the others do that as well, Swan-san?

[retellers]

Nope! We all have our own powers. [ they make the light shoot up into little mini fireworks ] The others don't use them as much, though.

[exercisms]

[Standing awkwardly nearby for long enough to blink several times.]

. . . How are you doing that?

[retellers]

Huh? [ they look at themselves and then back to him blankly. and then: ] Oh, it's magic!

[antaressnipe]

... That is rather impressive.

[Said in-between blinks. Chiron was not expecting that]

[retellers]

Isn't it?

[ it's said cheekily, and then they come closer to chiron. instead of walking, they teleport a whole two feet. was that necessary. ]

Nice to meet you! I'm Swan.

[ they know, swan. ]

[Peering up at the roof, watching the light show for a few long moments before cupping her hands over her mouth.]

Hey!!! How'd you even get up there???

[retellers]

[ there's a quick flash of light on the roof and a second one next to hikaru before swan is, suddenly, there. they put a hand to their hip ]

Ta-daaaa.

[assistance]

[ hm.

what if, mid-blink, alyssa attempts to shove her hand in the space where swan just was before they pop back. ]

[ swan crashes into alyssa's hand, mostly ]
