WEEK SIX: MINGLE

WEEK SIX: MINGLE (25 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Elsa, Yona, Shigeo, and Fiora's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Also, anyone who had been poisoned during trial will still be feeling sick! Haha! Finally, participants will find that they are now sporting a new injury. This injury is one that they received in their past, whether they remember it or not. No matter how fatal the injury is, participants won't die from it, and the pain they feel will be dulled down. However, if another participant touches someone's injury effect, even if it's covered, then they will both be hit with whatever pain that was felt when the injury was first inflicted. This pain will last ten seconds. The injury can also be as minor or major as desired.

[if anyone thought a few injuries would stop him from invading the beach, i don't know what to tell you. that is to say, as soon as he realizes where they are this week sora's immediately bounding out the door and heading for the beach.

but...well. today, he's wearing a loose tanktop and some red and white boardshorts, cheap black flipflops on his feet. sunglasses are on his face and he seems to be taking a leisurely walk while ignoring the burns on his left side, the bandage on his right shoulder, and the new, slightly bloody bindings around his chest. thank god the shirt's a little big on him!!!

catch him either fishing at the pier, or napping on a towel on the sand. you can also find him starting to wander down the beach toward the caves. for either awake option, he'll look up and offer a cheerful wave.]

This is way better than what I was hoping for.

[later, at the boardwalk, he'll be wandering around checking out the games and some of the rides. sometimes he'll have a thing of cotton candy. sometimes he'll have an ice cream bar. sometimes you'll catch him with a piece of pizza hanging out of his mouth. apparently free junkfood is great, but after a while he does find himself at the petting zoo with the donkeys and...

...staring in alarm...????????]

...for a bit, anyway, before he sort of crinkles his nose as the sun beats directly on his face now.]

[ she laughs and puts on his sunglasses. even though they feel stupid. then moves so that she's blocking the sun and he's in her shadow. ]

[he hears the laugh and he actually recognizes it which is the main reason he opens his eyes, never mind the part where she's suddenly blocking his source of warmth.]

They'd look better on you in blue, I bet. [hello!]

This kind of design only looks good on ten year olds.

no, it's yuuri in a swimsuit, a pair of sunglasses because please ignore the reference image these are definitely sunglasses perched on her head, carrying a parasol. that's the goth thing to do at the beach, right? hang around in the shade regardless of the summer spirit? ]

[ the swimsuit does make the somewhat bloody bandages wrapped around her torso pretty damn obvious, but it's fine. it's fine? everyone's been sporting the bloody midriff bandage look, it seems. ]

[the color-coordinated parasol kills me, i love it. but sora grins upon seeing her even if there's a bit of concern in his eyes upon spotting those bandages. her too, hm?]

I dunno. Kinda figure we're gonna get a big city at some point because it makes the most sense. But this is more my speed if I'm honest.

I figured a big city would have been too ... normal, for these spaces across the bridge. They've all seemed to have some sort of ... [ gimmick ] -theme, to them.

Even if it's normal, there's definitely a lot of people who've never seen something like it before. I've only been to one once or twice myself. If these places really are just memories, wouldn't it make some sense?

It seems it's been drawing on more obscure memories than anything, to me. Otherwise, between there being so many of us from Japan here, you'd think our collective memories might have formed... some form of city, if not quite Tokyo.

A lot of people might not have been to a city, but I think more of us might be unfamiliar with a moon base?
