WEEK SIX: MINGLE

WEEK SIX: MINGLE (25 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Elsa, Yona, Shigeo, and Fiora's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Also, anyone who had been poisoned during trial will still be feeling sick! Haha! Finally, participants will find that they are now sporting a new injury. This injury is one that they received in their past, whether they remember it or not. No matter how fatal the injury is, participants won't die from it, and the pain they feel will be dulled down. However, if another participant touches someone's injury effect, even if it's covered, then they will both be hit with whatever pain that was felt when the injury was first inflicted. This pain will last ten seconds. The injury can also be as minor or major as desired.

That's kind of the point. We should probably avoid the lights, though... [ that can be bad for some folks? ] Those cute ears of yours can handle a little music, right, Alphinaud?

[ Once again, this game is not ADA compliant.

But to the music room! Now that they're inside, they can tell that it's this. Don't dance too hard to those sick tunes!

But the ground is also set up to look like piano keys. They'll have to cross them and add to the music to cross to the other side of the room. ]

—Erm. [ Wow, way to get him flustered. ] I will be fine, yes.

[ Until they actually go in. Alphinaud steps on an E key, stops, and winces. ]

... Gods above, who is playing so awfully?

[chanteuser]

[ alex just glances at alphinaud. then ochako. and then--

covers her ears really fast because she just got hit by party fluting and alphy mashing an E key with his foot. ouch. ]

[ she takes a step past him and steps on an F key. it's as lovely as you might expect. ]

[ ochako, meanwhile, thinks this is hilarious? it's so bad that she just bursts out laughing?

and also. extends a hand to each of them. ]

May I have this dance?

[ let's dance our way across this hell room ]

[ There is no real mod tag here, other than I hope they dance. ]

[ ... He'll accept her hand, if only to please Ochako, but: ]

Is it possible to dance to this?

[chanteuser]

[ she takes a step, pressing another key with her foot. ]

We could always just make a different song; louder. [ she steps again, for emphasis.

and also takes ochako's hand. dance! dance! ]

Yeah, exactly! Just don't think about it too hard, okay? Then we'll find whoever else is stuck in here and make it out together!

[ she'll at least like. try to match the beat, as much as anyone can match that. but we're dancing across the piano yeeeeaaah!! ]

[retellers]

[ They're dancing across the piano! And as they reach the last note... the floor drops from under them. Guess it was a trap door!

But they land in a net right below. They'd have to crawl on it to get to a landing where they can get off it. ]

[arcsplainist]

[ Aaaand you can bet Alphinaud just let out the loudest yelp as they fall ]

[chanteuser]

[ it's cool, alex is doing the same. ]

[ also yelling in surprise. yeesh, at least there's a net... though suddenly she is regretting her choice to wear a sundress today. ]

Ugh. Are you guys okay? [ that wasn't fun at all!! ] ...It looks like there's a way out over there.

[retellers]

[ Don't worry, there is a strobe light helping them see where they're going.

That's probably not helping. Anyway, the sounds of chatter is a little louder now, all they see is net forever. ]

[arcsplainist]

I... I am fine. I think.

[ This strobe light is NOT HELPING. But he'll attempt to crawl over towards the landing, anyway. It's a struggle. ]

[chanteuser]

[ alex has gained +1 headache thanks to the strobe light. and unlike ochako, she's wearing shorts with her outfit so scrambling along the netting isn't so bad. ]

I'm alright. All things considered. You didn't hurt yourself, Ochako?

[infreefall]

[ well so much for trying to avoid the strobes. ochako makes a face. ]

I'm okay. It's just a little hard to navigate.

[ wearing a dress was a bad idea actually! why did she do this! ugh! she's just going to very slowly make her way toward the landing, then. ]

[retellers]

[ Now that they're closer the landing, they can see that the strobe lights are set up in strategic spots that leave certain places in darkness, and other very blinding. It really is horrible for the eyes.

There's a doorway in the corner, and a figure can be seen standing on the other side of it, only visible from the flashes of blinding light. ]

[ this is so

awful

he is trying his best not to look at the lights, so unfortunately, he does miss the figure. Alphinaud does make it to the landing, though! Sweet, sweet solid ground. ]

[chanteuser]

[ alex is! not far behind. equally blind as heck and trying to scramble up onto the landing without using her eyes once.

she manages. somehow.

and then blinks a lot. and squints. ]

... Is there something over there?

[infreefall]

[ ochako trails behind them but eventually makes it! she has some regrets, but don't we all? anyway, what is that. ]

A person...? [ cautiously approaching... ] Hey, did you get lost in here?

[retellers]

[ The figure freezes



and immediately just fucking runs. ]

[arcsplainist]

[ th. through the door?

Alphinaud stares the best he can for a moment. ]

Well. I suppose we should make chase.

[chanteuser]

[ standing here staring at the running figure is a great start to a scooby-do chase scene, alphinaud. ]

Probably. That's the only other living thing we've seen here so...

[ time to run after the mysterious figure. nyoom. ]

If it were me, I'd want to get caught by you two.

[ i mean. i guess we're giving chase now. ]
