WEEK FIVE: MINGLE

WEEK FIVE: MINGLE (29 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. The barrier to the north is down, and beyond the bridge lies new areas to explore. Strangely, what was there last week seems to have been replaced overnight. That's not the only thing that's different, either. The participants will find that their lodgings have changed. Finally, should anyone check their PHS, Alyssa, Hikaru, and Bucky's profiles have been removed. Three Leaders can be found around the area, open (?) to approach. If participants want to speak to them more privately, or to an absent Leader, it looks like they'll have to go through another channel. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. On that note, if your character did not stay, please make sure to check your notifs. Once again, participants may find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Finally, participants will find that they now have another pet to take care of. Small creatures (based on any animal of player choice, real or mythical) will be following them around all week. However, these creatures are emotionally tied to their participant, so whatever the person they are connected to is feeling, they will outwardly display it. Angry? They will be hostile. Happy? So are they! Even more, they will react to other participants based on how theirs feels about the other. Anyone their participant loves, they will also love. Hope you don't secretly hate anyone, that might be awkward.

[Ange is dressed like this this week! Everyone thank the pripri designers for giving us prince Ange instead of princess. She is not carrying a sword though, that's dangerous.

Also a small bird is nesting in her hair.]

a. puppet show

[Anyway, Ange can be found watching the puppet show with what is first curiosity, and then plain horror and disgust. Looks like the execution this puppet show is showing is Kano's; as soon as she realizes what's going on, she frowns tightly and scowls.

So you might find her attempting to tug the puppets off the stage. Vandalism from Ange!!]

[Ange can be found hanging around outside the castle as if a ghost, staring up at it with a blank expression on her face.

Her turtledove, still nesting in her hair, seems a little down and wistful, though--at least as much as a bird can look wistful.

The moment she notices someone is there, though, she smiles at them brightly.]

It is beautiful, isn't it...?

[This is terrible and I hope they get in trouble for wrecking the puppet show.

For now, though, she rummages around until she finds the Taako puppet, holding it up triumphantly.]

There...!

[Ahem.]

It is awfully cute though... would you like it?

What, you? Absolutely.

[ lup, please. she's wearing these glasses and this dress as she comes up to stand next to ange. the weasel on her shoulder jitters excitedly and squeaks at the sight of ange and her turtledove. ]

[Ange flusters when Lup speaks, covering her cheeks with her hands.]

O-oh, um, that is... not what I meant...!

[She knows, Ange.

The bird on her head flutters its wings and looks at Lup with clear interest. Because it's a bird, that's about all it can do.]

The--the castle!

[ hfhfffttt lup laughs. ]

Oh! Right. The castle, for sure. [ the weasel leans as far as it can off lup's shoulder, clearly interested in sniffing ange. ]

It's fine, I guess. Were you going inside?

[lecarre]

[The weasel is cute... Ange offers it a hand with a small smile.

That small smile stays on her face, though the bird on her head shifts a little at the question.]

... I wonder... [...] In truth, grandiose places like that make me feel uncomfortable.

Yes. Though I have never seen a castle with such color to it...

[Chiron still only wears a toga, though now he is accompanied by a baby... deer? As well as his little T-Rex. The latter is so glad to have a new sibling that it keeps snapping at the other's heels, for which the deer puts up with it, only occasionally bucking back with her head]

[The baby deer is so cute. Ange stares at it for a long, long moment before she shakes herself a bit. The turtledove fluffs its feathers at all of Ange's dancing around.]

Oh...! Um, yes, that is quite odd... all of the castles I know have a bit more of an imposing appearance.

This one is rather fairy tale-esque, right?

[Ha. Well. Someone notices the staring and offers Ange a broad smile]

She is quite docile, and does not mind being pet.

[of course Chiron's soul animal is as chill as he is, and will even approach Ange with her nose twitching]

But it's true, the last castle I remember had a bit more of a... menacing aura, we shall say.

[lecarre]

[Gaspppp. Ange gratefully crouches down to offer the sweet little deer a hand to sniff, before she tentatively reaches out to pet her gently.

So!! Cute!!]

... A menacing aura...? [She blinks.] What do you mean by that? A building can have something like that?

[ she's so proud of this vandalism ]

[ she's also very proud of ange's outfit. ]

[Thanks Clem, you're such a good influence. For her part, Ange is left with a Kano hand puppet and a flush on her face as she rubs the back of her head.]

Oh...! Um, well... it just felt wrong to leave it. It is like they are making fun of them, and that...

[It's awful, the executions were awful.]

I wonder if it's making fun of them or just - trying to replay memories the only way it can?

Still fucked up though. Nothing wrong with trashing it.

I suppose that is possible... I just, um... I assumed, I suppose.

[Ange shrugs a little, looking at the puppet in her hand.]

It is a shame... watching puppet shows with a friend would be quite a lot of fun otherwise.

You okay, though? You looked a little down.

Oh, um, that's...!

[A beat... and then Ange sighs a bit.]

I suppose I'm not very stealthy after all. Yes--it reminds me of home, a little bit. The castle back home wasn't near so fantastical, but it was still a castle nonetheless. I used to wonder what it was like inside all the time.

[ hmmm. ]

Well, I can't help you with the castle back home, but we can still explore this one. What do you say, Carré-san?

[Ange hesitates a moment longer... and then she seems to rally herself.]

Um, right... now is the time to explore it, right? I may never get another chance, so...

I would appreciate it if you would come with me, Miss Ochako.

Yeah. It's nice. [since this is the castle, it means sora is dressed appropriately and has a friend in tow.]

Do you wanna go inside? It could be cool.

[lecarre]

[they are prince twinsies and Ange seems pleased by this--though still a little muted.

She rubs the back of her head hesitantly.]

Oh... I'm not sure. It isn't really the sort of place the likes of me should be going into.

[hm. he tilts his head at that.]

What makes you say that? I think a castle suits you just fine.

[ Well. Jeanne didn't catch what the puppet show was of. She only sees Ange trying to vandalize. ]

looks at the little Jeanne puppet in her hand.]

Um... it was. The shows they are putting on are... well, they are in poor taste.

[She pauses, and then holds up the Kano and Jeanne puppets.

From context alone, she thinks Jeanne will probably get it.]

[ Ah. Yes. She does. ]

Thank you for being so considerate, Ange. Maybe we should try to cover the show, so no one can watch it.
