WEEK SEVEN: MINGLE

WEEK SEVEN: MINGLE (21 remain) Rise and shine, gremlins. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's the start of a new week. To the participants, yesterday's events may seem distant now—albeit not as distant as their life before this. Whether or not they notice, they will have lost a memory upon waking up. As usual, the participants will find that their lodgings have changed, and should anyone check their PHS, Chiron, Ochako, Soo-won, and Dorothy's profiles have been removed. They may also find that they have difficulty recalling complete details of the past weeks. Furthermore, it looks as though the rules have updated. Not everything is the same as the previous pattern, though. The barrier to the north is back up, and once more, what lies beyond is an empty field. In contrast, however, participants may notice that they can finally access a place they haven't been able to before... Additionally, it looks like the Leaders aren't around. No matter where the participants look, they're nowhere to be found. Should anyone try calling for them in the Planetarium, there will be no response—not even a message telling the participant that they're busy. Finally, everything around the participants begins to... glitch? Buildings may suddenly blink out of existence and then back in, random items like chairs or cups may suddenly distort even while they're being used, and looking at any particular thing for too long may give someone a headache. It's worse than it was that one week, though: participants will find that it's happening to themselves as well. Body parts might suddenly glitch out of existence then back in, and there will be a shot of pain when it occurs. It'll happen randomly, but it also seems to occur more often if they're touching something or another person.

well. let’s just say the song is coming to an end for the sake of francy’s dramatic cliffhangers, and alex is polite enough to give the crowd a wave before they might be ritually murdered on stage by these weird memory ladies.

she’s also taking a couple of steps back because she is neither a secret super spy, a saint and didn’t graduate from war school. ]

Anyway Ange definitely is just chilling there, waiting for the other shoe to drop, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. But she's not going to be the first aggressor here.

RESOLVE THE CLIFFHANGER]

[ alex is incredibly valid. unfortunately, life dictates that she's a tank, so she'll stay put to make sure she can cover alex, if things go south.

but honestly, she has no idea what to expect here. she stops pretending to play this guitar but holds it in anyway. guitar, axe, what's the difference in a pinch?

though byleth doesn't seem dangerous to her... ]

What don't they know?

She's ready to fling the cymbals as discus, if she needs to, but yeah, Jeanne doesn't usually start fights. ]

Well, this may feel a little strange, but...

[ She snaps her fingers, and all four girls will suddenly feel very sleepy? They can fight it for a moment, but they'll all end up falling asleep on the stage.

And, after what may seem like only a moment of closing their eyes, they'll awaken again. They're still on the stage, but it's night now, and the crowd is gone. There's also no sign of the young man and the two women. A few people are walking around, going about their day as usual and they throw furious glances at the stage.

Series. Anyway! They're still in their outfits and if they look backstage, there's nothing there. Guess they're stuck like this. ]

—- oh.

[ it definitely wasn’t dark a second ago, hello? ]

... where did everyone go?

[ why do these people seem so mad at the stage? surely it can’t be them who are the ones getting the furious glances. is everything okay on the stage...? ]

[um what.

Ange is immediately getting back up to her feet, looking around rather urgently.

What was the point of all of that? [UGH. What a weird waste of time.]

[ what the heck is happening. she pulls herself up, frowning as she dusts herself off as she blinks off the last bit of sleep.

at least they don't have to perform anymore? too bad they didn't get applause. also, again, what is happening. ]

Now what?

[ anything off in the distance they should follow this time? ]

[ Being magically put to sleep is never a good sign. Jeanne springs to her feet as soon as she's able.

That there's none of their things backstage anymore is also a bad sign! ]

Those are all good questions.

[ Jeanne approaches one of those few people still around and hopes they don't do that freezing thing. She's polite despite how the icon may make her seem otherwise. ]

Excuse me.

[ Luckily, the person doesn't freeze this time. They frown, glancing at Jeanne then towards the stage. ]

What? No, I don't want to join your band.

[lecarre]

[Uh.

Ange just kind of glances from the person to Hilda and back to Jeanne.

And then she shrugs a little and moves towards the edge of the stage to speak too.]

Why do you think that is what she was going to ask?

[axecessory]

[ what is with this game and rejecting people who didn't even ask. she looks kind of offended on behalf of blackpink lizard planet squad. ]

I wouldn't assume you were invited...

[ she's grumbling a little and walking ahead. anything weird out there? professor? ]

[discernments]

[ i was going to ask did hilda just rename their girl group

Jeanne's smile is beatific. ]

We don't want you to join anything of ours, but I do want to ask you if you know what happened in the past few hours.

Because some girl has been asking. I assumed you were with her. And no, the last few hours they put that stage up.

[ they huff and walk away.

Hilda won't see anything that stands out too much. They may need to go out there and investigate. ]

[lecarre]

[There he go...........

Ange finally hops off the stage properly, a hand on her hip.

She is Peeved that they performed for no reason....]

We most likely need to find that girl to proceed. It is a shame he left before we could get a description, but if she has been asking around, she cannot be far.

[axecessory]

Some girl, huh?

[ is that all they have to go off of? and what was that performance even about? who were any of those people? ]

It's not a lot to go off of, but you're right. We may as well go looking. [ in these outfits. ]

[ Ange is valid.

It's one thing to change into these outfits to perform on stage. Jeanne can divorce her mortification from the need to perform a role, but going around in these outfits............................ like some (not so) normal people..................

It's not even summer.

She's crying deeply inside.

It doesn't show on her face outside a very light blush. This is fine.

Hopefully, we'll run into her soon, if everyone around the stage looked that frustrated.

[ She points in a direction. ]

[ Assuming they go that way, they'll see a whole lot of nothing for a while.




Sort of. The same blue haired woman can be seen, although the other one is no longer with her. She seems to be talking to someone who she's blocking from view. ]

[ our saint is so cute. anyway she will comfort jeanne's delicate sensibilities by holding her hand as they walk for a pointlessly long time. hilda's starting to feel impatient when she spots that lady again.

this has to be who they're looking for, right? she feels like she should know who she is—as though she's important somehow. ]

Hey—you! Wait up!

[ she's going to approach them... who's there? ]

Jeanne doesn't mind handholds, and at least she has stamina to spare so the long walk doesn't bother her. While she isn't sure it's a good thing they're seeing Byleth again, she thinks it's a step in the right direction.

Jeanne tries to look around the blue haired woman to see who she's blocking.

Hello? Can they eavesdrop? Jeanne wouldn't try to eavesdrop, but can they eavesdrop even though Hilda just called out to them?

Are those two the only people around? ]

[ Well! On closer inspection, Jeanne will recognize the second person! As... well, an older version of a king she met once. Everyone else seems to be just random people walking by.

If they try to get close, they'll hear them talking about an event. Byleth seems to be explaining some problems while the other girl looks more and more mad about it. ]

[ well alex is cold now. stuck in a bunny girl outfit, in the middle of a weird city, trying to eavesdrop on a woman who interrupted their impromptu concert. what a great day. ]

An event?

[ wasn't this thing they just sang in an event? how many events does byleth need? ]

[Ange is starting to get the feeling that the stuff they're dealing with here is not yet world-changing.

It's fine but it means she's a little bit less on edge.

Anyway the eavesdropping life is fine by her. What kind of problems are we talking about here?]

[ at least performances aren't likely to get them killed...(?) things are weird but not so dire, yet.

(except where is their leader?)

guess they're all listening in, but between the weird costumes and the fact that there's four of them, they'll probably get noticed soon enough. ]

[ Why is she recognizing so many people? People who should probably be dead.

She keeps her voice hushed. ]

... I have seen enough people from my memories, so the rest of you should be wary about who we may yet to see.

[ Guess they're going to continue to eavesdrop if they don't get noticed. ]
